Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Curt Universal Wiring Harness for Vehicle-End Trailer Connectors. Now, this universal harness can be hardwired into your tow vehicle's wiring system, so that you can install a 7-way trailer connector on any vehicle. If you see on the table here, it includes everything shown here, the 7-way connector, in the bag here they have seven butt splices to connect your wires, seven heat shrinks to seal them, couple of cable ties, and a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this installs. Now, this harness is referred to as a US car connector, and a US car 7-way socket is a standardized automotive electrical socket, provides a connection point for trailer wiring. This socket's used across several different makes and models, so it allows for easier access to parts for both manufacturers and vehicle owners.
Now, on this one here, the specs on this is the wiring, and just go over each wire and what it connects to. We'll start with the green wire, the green wire is for your right turn signal, the yellow wire is for your left turn signal, the white will be your ground wire, the brown wire right here, that'd be your taillights and side marker lights, the blue wire is electric brake, the black is auxiliary power, and the last one is the purple wire, which are backup/reverse lights. And you can see if this stretches out, it gives you about 24 inches for the length of wires on those. The hitch bolted on the frame easily and was a heavy duty and an easy install. It took 2 hours from start to finish with wiring harness. Would do business with them again. Delivery was as described with tracking number and delivery date.
I look all over the place for this connector even went to a junk yard you were the only one that had it. I needed it for my plow lights hook up it worked great. Thank you!
Directions helped a lot once I found what existing wires went to. Super easy!
Got the wiring Harness for my 2002 GMC 2500 (Curt Universal Wiring Harness for Vehicle-End Trailer Connectors) excellent construction and instructions. Can beat Curt for quality. I'm not novice at wiring trailers so I have had issues in the past but it is nice to see the folk did a great job designing and building this harness. Works great.

My truck was a little to old to have one but did have all the wires bundled to hook one up.
So this will be a great upgrade to have.
It will also be easy next time to replace my seven way hookup when it goes out as it did this time from road salts from the winter.

I particularly liked the quality of the connector and its condition. The wires are rated for the level of current they cary rather than just being all the same gage, and the clip end come ready coated to protect from corrosion.
