Replacement 7-Way Connector for a 2008 Tacoma SR5 4x4
Question:
Bought the 2008 Tacoma sr5 4x4 used several years ago. The previous owner removed unplugged the wiring harness and 7 pin plug. The Toyota parts says the replacement is $250. Are there any reasonable replacements anywhere

Expert Reply:
If the plug you have on your 2008 Toyota Tacoma is the US Car Connector like the Curt # C56229 then you can simply use the Curt T-Connector # C55774 or the Hopkins # HM40975 to add 4-Way and 7-Way connectors to your vehicle. This is much more cost-effective and it a simple plug-in installation.
If you happen to have something else please send me a picture of it so I can see what we have that may be compatible.
