Recommended Wiring To Tap Into Truck 7-Way For Power and Lighting To a Camper Shell
Question:
Are you aware of any Tap adapters that would go between a Curt 58155 and 56299 that would provide power, and brake light wire leads for a camper shell? I can tap off of the vehicle wiring but a plug in adapter would be cleaner. Thanks

Expert Reply:
If your truck already has a 7-way which uses the Curt Universal Wiring Harness Connector # C56229 for the 7-way, you will be able to use the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 41157. This contains a 10' harness which will tee into your current wiring. You can mount the other 7-way in you bed and use the 7-Way Round RV Style Trailer Connector # A7WCB to run the wiring for your camper shell. Otherwise you will be able to splice the end of the harness to hardwire the parts you need.
