Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT custom fifth-wheel bracket kit for your Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Now this is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2020 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty trucks without the OEM prep package. Now on a custom-fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now, these brackets here are designed to mount beneath your truck bed, and they provide the attachment points for your fifth-wheel rails to attach to.
Now those base rails we do sell separate on our website. It does require the CURT base rails, part number C16104, part number C16204, or part number C16205. Now, these brackets here provide a nice custom fit by mounting to existing holes that are in your vehicle's frame. If I just turn this, you'll be able to see the holes in here match up with the holes in your vehicle's frame, so it minimizes the amount of drilling that's required to install these. And because of that, these will install in about half the time when compared to the universal kits that are out there.
Now, as you can see it includes all the necessary hardware for installation. Nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. These parts do have a nice black powder coat finish on them to resist corrosion, and they are designed to work with the industry standard rails that are compatible with B&W, CURT, Draw-Tite, Reese, and Husky Above Bed fifth-wheel trailer hitches. But that should do it for the review on the CURT custom fifth-wheel bracket kit for the Chevrolet and GMC trucks.

I talked to two different Auto Accessory shops, and both told me that my hitch, a Curt E-16 would not fit or adapt to my 2020 Chevrolet 2500 HD, I thought that they didn't know or was to busy to even look into it, So I went on e-trailer and sure enough the adapter brackets I needed were there. I called and ordered them right then. Initially I was told shipping was going to be in 3 to 4 days. As it turned out, I received the in 2 days, I did the install my self with the help of the video on the web site. Couldn't ask for more. Again a Big thank you to etrailer.

The order was quick to the house and easy to order on the phone, but the only thing is the packaging was open when it arrived. It’s heavy parts for a fifth wheel hitch so the only complaint I have is that they secure the packaging better.

If you'd like to keep your current base rails # C16204 you can but we do recommend using new hardware # C16111 as hitch hardware is only designed to be torqued down once.
