Does what it’s supposed to do without a “smoke” test!

by:

Simple, but effective. This part was a real life saver and does what it is supposed to do.

by:

I have never dealt with a company that is so helpful, I am extremely thankful for all your advice, both before purchase and after when I had installation questions. I highly recommend your products and services!

by:

Right product, Great service. I always shop with them when I need anything for my rv or trailers.

by:

I think they are designed to be “slow trip” I put about 65 Amps through it for ~40 seconds before it tripped. Nice form factor

by:

Excellent quality and strength. Why skimp on something as important as your hitch? I have purchased three of these Draw Tites - I guess a repeat customer will scream about the true quality a company can garner from repeat customers. When you pull show cars worth six figures, you can't afford a poorly made hitch.
Step up, step out, and don't fret what you are pulling.

I followed the detailed instructions from etrailer’s video to add a 7pin trailer harness and ebrake controller for my 2010 Dodge Dakota Big Horn. I ordered the 30 amp and the 40 amp circuit breakers for the 12 volts and ebrake controller power supply. The order came in with a 30 amp and a 20 amp breakers instead. I contacted etrailer about the mistake and etrailer sent the correct 40 amp right away without hesitation. Etrailer has been a great source of information and they have the best customer service out there. Thank you!!

by:

Circuit breaker does what it should, I hope. Mounting bracket come off fairly easily, which was a bit disappointing. Happy about the different colored terminals. So far so good, its much nicer having power from my tow vehicle to my trailer.

by:

All three (3) In-Line Circuit Breakers I purchased (9510, 38630 & 9506P) met my expectations based on web page information reviewed prior to placing an order. The installation instructions received were excellent and easy to follow. Each performed well throughout the summer and fall 2017 on several extended vacations in western North America.

Items Arrived a day later than I was led to believe by email, but still arrived quickly. Items were as expected and I had not problems installing components on my vehicle. One big concern for me was the way items were packed, the 7 way RV connector was in box loose with steel washers(which were in a plastic bag with the circuit breaker.....loose)as well as the T-connector(which WAS in its own package). I'm grateful the 7 way was not damaged being loose with other items as items were only seperated by a crumpled peice of paper. Wires can be tricky when they get rubbed/ripped/stripped. As I stated I'm grateful this was not the case but hopefully any future items will be better packed. I will recomend this company for prices, item variety and promptness of item delivery.

by:

Have only been able to use our trailer on a couple of outings but every thing worked perfect.

No problems.

by:

This circuit breaker for electric trailer brakes is working fine after a year's use. No complaints. Good reputable company to deal with.

by:

I ordered everything to add trailer brake hookups to a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. I got:
Correct parts,
Great price,
Shipped promptly.
and Clear instructions included with Tekonsha controller.

by:

Worked out perfectly.

by:

adapter works good. Was easy to install. Power light stays on as it should. The left turn, right turn, and running lights stay on faint to. Pulled my trailer 550 miles and no problems

by:

I ordered the Drawtite Activator II with associated wiring. The unit was bench-tested where I became familiar with its operation. The digitally displayed output is a big plus, as I expected it to be. Stephanie was very helpful in assisting with my order and order status emails home. I spent a good hour under the truck finding the best wiring route and wire-tying everything, and close to 4 hours total to complete.

by:

Items were exactly as described and have me the exact parts I needed for Dodge. I used etrailer.com once before for trailer wiring parts. You can beat their parts availability on each different project.. The online instructions for each vehicle wiring sold me on their site.. Thanks again

by:

After 1 year of service it works great!

by:

After a year of use I would still recomend this kit and ordering it from etrailer. I was able to install it myself using their instructions and videos. You can buy with confidence here.

by:

Great job as always

by:

Needed for my installation. etrailer staff was very helpful in helping me order all the pieces that I needed.

by:

Everything was as advertised, and thank you Kaylyn R for your wonderful customer service. It took awhile to get everything installed, because of crazy events in the past year, but it all works great!

by:

All around very positive experience.
I
placed an online order and thirty seconds later realized I'd missed one item on my list. Called and s/w Jennifer who fixed it all 1-2-3. Order arrived sooner than expected. I will be back in the future.

by:

I ordered this controller and additional parts from Laser. Before committing to buying, I asked him many questions. He answered them all in about a clear and concise way as possible while presenting a picture of how to install the device. It arrived today and I haven't started, but he also emphasized that I could call if I ran into any difficulties. I'll follow up when the job is complete. My experience in this context could not have been better.
Michael

  • Parts Needed to Convert 4-Way to 7-Way and Activate 12 Volt Accessory Circuit
You'd want the 4-way to 7-way adapter part # 37185 which will convert your 4-way to a 7-way like you are wanting and then to activate the 12 volt accessory circuit you'd need to run a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which we offer by the foot through a breaker like # 9510 to the vehicle's positive battery post and you'd be set.

  • How to Complete 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of 7-Way on Vehicle
To activate the 12 volt accessory pin of a 7-way (the pin in the 1:00 position) all you really need is a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) and then a circuit breaker like part # 9510 to protect the circuit. You attach the wire to the back of the 7-way and then run it to the breaker mounted near the battery under the hood, and then connect the wire to the battery.

The brake output wire (usually blue) should already be partly ran on your 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. There is a connector (see photo) that is located on the driver side of the vehicle right behind the front wheel well. This connector should have a blue wire for the brake output which you can confirm with a circuit tester. You can then use a quick splice connector like part # SWC501915-1 and loose wire like part # 10-1-1 (per foot) to attach it to the 7-way. If this wire is not present then you...

Normally the 30 amp # PK54230 or the 40 amp # 9510 is what we recommend with the 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 for your application.
