etrailer.com has been an easy company to work with. They were helpful in making sure we had what we needed to install our trailer hitch successfully. Thank you for your help. We have recommended you to friends and family and will continue to do business with you in the future.

Great

by:

Fast shipping and good quality parts for a fair price. Thank you.

by:

This circuit breaker for electric trailer brakes is working fine after a year's use. No complaints. Good reputable company to deal with.

by:

connectors and breakers to hook up my brake controller arrived in order, installed easily, and lasted 1 year so far...

by:

Got two of these for rewiring my truck and trailer. These were the best priced I found-even cheaper than the non-auto versions available locally. The shipping was reasonable and delivery time was good.

I was very satisfied and will return for additional items as needed.

by:

Worked out perfectly.

by:

I purchased the 20 amp CB to go with the Prodigy RF brake controller. This is due to their warning and caution in the installation manual.

by:

The product is exactly what I expected, I haven't installed it yet.

I will testify that this site is the real deal. Not only did they have the best price for what I wanted but it was delivered to my door at a lower cost than I could have purchased it for locally and it arrived in a timely fashion. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from this site again if the price is competative for what I'm looking for. I don't live close to any stores so it's most convienent to have it delivered rather than taking the time or expense to go get it. Their service and technical advice is excellant, that's an added bonus.

by:

I got exactly what I ordered. Just make sure, if you order the fuse box to get the fuses without brackets. A rotary grinder made quick work of the brackets and they fit perfect in the fuse box

by:

Another easy install and wiring would buy again for additional projects.

by:

Easy to install inline for the brake controller.

by:

I Haven't installed yet but the customer service with etrailer is great, they continued to help when I made an error on my order

by:

Simple, reliable, does what it should. A good value.

by:

The PK54520 circuit breaker appears to be a quality product and was simple to install. I hope I never need it to function.

The same product was 3x the price at the local trailer supply establishment.

Thanks
Rick

by:

Just what I needed. Thanks, John

by:

Does the job for good price just convenient to have all parts arrive before install and not chase for parts.

by:

product arrived in timely manner and as expected. Haven't used them yet, so no input on performance.

by:

I've used 2 of them and they work remarkably well. Good quality and quick delivery.

by:

In service 1 year. No issues.

by:

Parts was as it should be, worked fine when installed, fast delivery,

by:

Haven't installed it yet, looks good

by:

Quality built product, does exactly what it needs to.

by:

Works as expected.

by:

Great price

  • Installation of a Pinnacle Draw Tite Brake Controller On a Land Rover Defender
The blue wire is the trailer brake feed that is wired to the trailer connector at the back of the vehicle. A 10 gauge wire, item # 10-1-1, is used for this connection. The red wire is connected to the cold side of the brake pedal switch. Use a circuit tester, item # 3808, to find the circuit that is hot only when the brake pedal is pressed. The white wire goes to a secure vehicle ground or the negative battery post. Finally the black wire goes to the positive vehicle battery post through...

  • Troubleshooting Ultra-Fab 3500lb Trailer jack UF38-944017 Stopping When Underload
I reached out to my contact at Ultra-Fab and there are a few things that could be causing the jack to stop when it is underload, and then working again after 30 seconds. The first thing is it is possible the motor is going bad and drawing more amps to raise and lower which is causing the circuit breaker to trip and reset. This is more often found on older jacks, and you would notice the jack is quite a bit louder when it is raising and lowering compared to when it was new. If this is the...

  • Installation of Power Wire to Brake Controller and 7-Way Connector on Motor Home
The connection you will need to use is most likely the chassis connection in the case of the brake controller. You will want the connection that is hot at all times ran to the brake controller so that the trailer brakes can be operated at any time whether the ignition is on or not. The brake controller should be wired through at least a 20 amp circuit breaker, item # PK54520, and a 30 amp circuit breaker, item # PK54530, if the trailer has more than 4 brakes or the brake controller calls...

The vehicle wire that needs to connect to the brake controller's red input signal wire is the one that goes to the cold side (load side) of the brake light switch. This is the wire that goes hot only when you press on the brake pedal but at no other time. A circuit tester like # PTW2993 will let you test to find this wire. The remaining three wires from the controller connect as follows: the WHITE ground wire connects to battery ground terminal; the BLACK 12V power wire connects to the...

You will not need the Universal Brake Control Wiring Adapter 1999-02 Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, item # 3025-S, on the 1995 model because there is no factory port under the dash to plug the adapter in to. You will also need to make sure the white ground wire on the adapter is connected to the vehicle frame. If it does not, there is just a little more hardwiring that will need to be done. If they have wired all of the functions then you will simply need to connect the 4 wires from the pigtail on the P3 to the following functions: White - Ground (negative terminal on battery) Red - COLD side of Stop Light Switch (wire that gets hot only when brake pedal is pressed) Black - 12V Power (positive...

  • Brake Controller Recommendation for a Truck with Air Brakes and a Trailer with Electric Brakes
The trailer brakes work on a separate circuit than the lights. You have a couple of options to control the electric brakes on the trailer. One option is to use an air over electric brake control, # HA100400C. This unit connects to the air brakes on the truck and when the brakes are applied it sends an electric signal back to the trailer brakes. We recommend 10-gauge wire like # 10-1-1 for any 12V trailer power wiring. You'll want to check the power draw for your A/C unit to ensure it does not exceed the capacity of the circuit breaker you're installing.
