Does Center Pin of Battery Isolation Solenoid Have Wire Gauge Requirements

Question:

When wiring the isolator, what gauge wire is needed for the center terminal which is the wire from the ignition circuit. Should you also use a 40 amp circuit breaker on the line from the isolator to the trailer plug?

The center pin of the Battery Isolation Solenoid # PK5231201 that you referenced does not draw any significant amperage so it does not have a gauge thickness that is required.

The solenoid is rated for 100 amps so if you are trying to protect it you would want an 100 amp breaker. If you are using it for a standard 12 volt accessory circuit on a 7-way then a 40 amp breaker like part # 9510 would be recommended.
