Replacement 7-Way Connector On 2007 Toyota Tacoma With Factory 7-Way
Question:
Will part #20119 fit as a replacement for my factory 7way on my 2007 Tacoma 4x4? The plastic around the 7 prongs has brocken off on the factory 7way and the flat 4 adapter I have will not seat firmly into my current 7way so I would like to replace the factory 7way with #20119. Thanks,

Since the 7-way connector on your 2007 Toyota Tacoma has been damaged, you can use the Tow Ready Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector, part # 20119. This will give you a 7-way and 4-way connector on the back of your truck. I have attached a photo that shows what a typical connection would look like under your truck. To replace your existing connector on the back of your truck you would simply disconnect the connector from the vehicle wiring connector and install the # 74682, and connect it to the vehicle wiring.
If your connector that plugs into the 7-way on the rear of your Tacoma has been damaged, it will need to be replaced. I would recommend part # PK11998. You would cut the old connector off and then use a circuit tester like part # 3808 to test each wire and connect them to the # PK11998.
When working with electrical connections I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the connections and prevents corrosion.
