2007 Toyota Tacoma Base Plate Kit Options to Fit with Roadmaster Tow Bar
Question:
I need a new baseplate for my 2007 Toyota Tacoma 2 wheel drive pickup. I purchased a Roadmaster tow system but the part that attaches directly to the truck is missing. Can you tell me what part number I need? Thank you!

Expert Reply:
The correct Roadmaster base plates for your 2007 Toyota Tacoma are the following:
- Direct-Connect # 1175-3
- Crossbar-Style # 1175-1
If your Roadmaster tow bar has individual joints with bolts, like what we see pictured with the Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522, then you need the Direct-Connect.
The only other way that the Roadmaster Tow Bars connect to their base plate kits is with the Crossbar-Style which uses the Quick Disconnect Crossbar Assembly # 910021-00 to link the tow bar to the base plate kit on the vehicle.
I personally like the Direct-Connect system better but either way is perfectly safe to use!
