Does the Curt Hitch part # 13077 Hang Below the Rear Fascia of a BMW X5
Question:
Does the hitch hang below the rear fascia or does the fascia need to be modified to fit the hitch?

There will be a small amount of fascia trimming required to install the Curt Trailer Hitch part # 13077 on your 2007 BMW X5, but the hitch opening will hang below the fascia. Check out the picture I attached that shows hitch installed on a similar vehicle as yours. I also attached installation instructions for this hitch for you to check out.
For trailer wiring I would recommend the Curt PWM Powered Converter with Wiring Kit # C59236. I attached instructions and an install video for you to check out as well.
For a ball mount, hitch ball, and pin and clip, I would recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900. This is a kit which includes 2 ball mounts, a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, and a hitch pin and clip.
