Leaf Spring Options About 25 Inches in Length For 6,000 lb Axle

Question:

I HAVE A 2017 ATTITUDE TRIPLE AXLE BUMPER PULL TOY HAULER. THE TIRES ARE RUBBING ON THE FLOOR OF THE TRAILER WHEN BOTTOMING OUT. IT HAS 6000 POUND LIPPERT AXLES. 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER. I WANT TO UPGRADE THE SPRINGS, AND SHACKLES. THE SPRINGS ARE 4 LEAF, AND ABOUT 25 INCHES IN LENGTH. DO YOU HAVE RECOMMENDATIONS? SORRY FOR THE CAPS

You said "about" 25 inches in length so I'll give you a couple options for what might work depending on the exact length you have, and if you want to go to a higher-rated, 7k leaf spring. Also, you'll want your replacement springs to be a bit shorter because leaf springs stretch over time.

If you happen to have leaf springs a bit longer than 25 inches (say 25-1/2 inches) you can use the 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4" Long # e78SR.

Those are dacromet coated for the best rust resistance, which is useful on standard trailers and not just boat trailers. Then, if you should have the 25 inch measurement and would like to upgrade to a higher strength, 7k leaf spring you can use the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 7,000-lb Trailer Axles - 24-7/8" Long # e64SR.

As for shackle straps you want to measure yours from center to center of the bolt hole to ensure you get the right length. They are often either 2-1/4" # TRSL225 or 3-1/8" # TRSL313.

For shackle bolts use part # 166081.
