4-Leaf or 5-Leaf Springs 6,000 lb Double-Eye Springs to Replace 26 Inch 4-Leaf Springs

Question:

I currently have a fifth wheel with 5200 lb axles with 4 leaf leaf springs that are 26” long with load on them. I see that y’all have 4 and 5 leaf leaf spring options with only 1/8” in length difference. What would be better to replace what I have, 4 or 5 leaf springs?

I believe you are referencing our 6k double-eye leaf springs, the 4-leaf, 25-1/8" long # e47SR and 5-leaf, 25-1/4" long # e34SR. The number of leaves won't make a huge difference, but fewer leaves can give you a slightly softer ride. So to replace your current 26 inch leaf springs, I recommend going with the 4-leaf option:

- 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8" Long # e47SR
