Replacement Double Eye Spring Recommendation for 1995 EZ Loader Trailer with 3,650 lb Axle

Question:

Unfortunately the arch looks a lot different than the one I currently have. The arch is 3.75 on the current leaf springs and the ones you offer look to be less than that which will lower the trailer resting it on the tires

Thank you for the information. As long as the spring is of the correct weight rating and size, the number of leaves in a spring (spring pack thickness) isn't important. This is especially true because all springs should be replaced at the same time to maintain even support from the trailer.

A close option is the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 4,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4" Long, part # e57SR. This spring has just a slightly higher capacity, at 2,000 lbs, so it may stiffen up your ride - although not nearly enough to cause any damage to your axle, as you mentioned. It has a spring height (D measurement) of 3 inches.

It is important that you measure your spring without any weight on it, since the added load will cause the spring to flatten out a bit. Springs also naturally tend to flatten out over time. So, with that in mind, one other option is the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8" Long, part # e54SR. This spring is slightly under rated for your 3,650 lb axle and while it would be ok to use, just keep in mind that the total capacity of your trailer will be lowered because you will be limited by the lower rated springs. It has a spring height of 3-1/4 inches, which is the closest we have available to yours, without going into much heavier springs.
