Parts Needed To Be Able To Tow a Trailer With a 2013 Lexus CT 200h

Question:

Hello! I am hoping enable my beloved Chani to tow a 5x8 or max 5x10 trailer. I will not be towing anything super heavy - would say maximum 500 - 600 pounds. Its just bulky stuff I need to transport for events. I dont know anything about this stuff, but a friend recommended tilt trailers. I didnt think this would be possible with my vehicle, but I saw a Tesla car towing something similar recently, and I was filled with hope! What do yall think, and what type of apparatus would yall recommend? I saw the hitch you have available for my vehicle or at least one of them but it seemed like it was something most customers were using for bike racks. Thanks so much for your help!

While we do carry all the components that you will need to be able to tow a trailer with your 2013 Lexus CT 200h it is not recommended for trailer towing by Lexus. That said you are likely past any manufacturer warranties that would be voided so the decision is yours to make.

You will need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11200 to attach either the 1-7/8" # C45571 or 2" # C45572 Curt Euro Style Drawbar. You will need to match the ball size to the coupler on the trailer. You will need a Curt Hitch Pin and Clip # F-4 to hold the drawbar.

To control the lighting on the trailer a Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # 56099 is needed. This will give you a 4-way flat connector that will operate the turn signals, running lights and brake lights on the trailer.

We do offer the Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer # K2MMT4X6 which only weighs 305lbs empty. This 4'X6' trailer is capable of carrying an additional 1,295lbs of cargo. It has a 1-7/8" ball coupler and can be tilted for easier loading and unloading of certain items.
