I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15302 for your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with the 6' bed since the B&W # BWHDRH25189 will only fit the 8' long bed. The Curt receiver is rated for a tongue weight of 2,400lbs with a maximum trailer weight of 16,000lbs. The maximum trailer weight will increase to 17,000lbs when used with a weight distribution hitch.
