Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.Fits great on my quad cab (4 full doors with short box) 2004 silverado 2500hd 4x4 with the exception of the middle hole not located in the correct spot and will need to get drilled out on the frame (see pics for center hole). A blueprint from center of hole to center of hole would be very helpful for anyone else trying to figure out if this and others will work for their application. Mine back to front was 0 at first hole, then 6 1/2 inches then 14 1/2 inches (yes, the big hole is used). Hitch comes with middle hole being at 7 1/4 inches. Side to side on mine was 39 1/4 inches center to center and the hitch was the same. Hoping this helps others out. Great packaging and fast shipping. Customer service was top notch! Will definitely continue to order thru these folks. Very heavy duty hitch! Highly recommend!
I just got it delivered and I will install it on my nephews truck in the next few days. The hitch looks very well built compared to the hitch on my 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD. I would buy this receiver for my truck if I needed one.
I feel very confident that this class 5 hitch will handle all my towing needs with no problem!

Cant say much besides that it doesn't fit with a ranch-hand bumper. It’s just been sitting in my garage for a year. Ive been using the factory receiver.

Fits and looks great and easy to install. Would be nice if there was some way to mount the stock trailer electrical connection with out having to fabricate it.
Nicely made. Factory one was whimpy and weak looking. I pull a 10k trailer everywhere. Hitch safety chain hookup is large enough to get my oversized hooks in. Over all I'm happy with it.

After a yr I am so glad I installed this hitch. Its solid doesnt matter what I connect to it.

Excellent product! Excellent service! We ordered on Monday about 6PM from Missouri and we received it by 6:30pm Wednesday in South Carolina. We were kept informed every step of the way. After a year of use, it continues to work just as designed. I have had no issues with it.
Great hitch. Very heavy duty. Holding up very well. Definitely worth the money. Made towing feel a lot better do to where and how it hooks to the frame.
Well built. What it should be. My gripes are not including two new bolts for the 14mm bolts and not having a pre-drilled spot for a 7 pin mount. Other than that the shipping was fast and the product is nice.
I received the hitch , the product itself was great quality unfortunately the box was pretty banged up and the driver side did not line up well, it appeared to have been dropped at some point. I made it work after some tweaking but would have preferred not to have to mess with my new $[XX] hitch.
Awesome hitch. Wicked heavy duty. Replaced the factory hitch on my 2005 2500HD Sierra with this unit. Simple bolt on, I was up and running in under in hour with removing the old one and installing this one. Also fits perfect with the 2016 rear step bumper I retrofitted.
Hitch installed in 20 minutes with air tools and a torque wrench. Looks great on the truck and is much stronger than the OEM hitch. Shipping was fast. Thank you Etrailer.

Hitch still looks new. We have pulled many heavy hauls with it in the last year and there have been zero issues. Last week we picked up a tow dolly and the safety chain hooks were to small to clip into the hitch. I used a pair of s-hooks. I didnt see this as a problem. Theres a lot meat in the safety hook area on the hitch as there should be. Theres a lot of meat to this hitch in general which is why I bought it. Great hitch for my 2500hd. Have hauled 12,000lbs confidentiality. Would recommend to anyone who asked.
The hitch was an excellent fit. The only drawback is that there’s not a spot to mount the trailer plug I see where other people have welded something on it would just be nice if it had it. I plan on buying a bracket and mounting it to my bumper. It took about 30 minutes to install once I had all the tools together. Looks great
This hitch fit my 2009 Chevy Silverado 2500 perfectly. The receiver slot is about 2.5 inches higher than the factor receiver that it replaced, which you may need to consider if you have a weight distribution hitch with bars that ride on a bracket on the trailer tongue instead of chains -you will need to reset those kinds of hitches for the new height. This is a very well-made hitch and was easy to install.
Perfect fit for my 2005 2500 Silverado. The factory receiver only had 7500# capacity so I figured an upgrade to a class V was a good idea. I cut the plug bracket off of the old receiver and welded it to a piece of flat stock for easy mounting to the bumper.

Thanks for your business and your review, Mike! Just a quick note - while aftermarket hitches may have a higher capacity, the maximum capacity of a towing setup is limited to the capacity of the lowest-rated component.
Very well built hitch. Somewhat of an easy install. Had to ream out one of the holes a little bit to get one of the blots in.
Great product, seems very well built. Install is incredibly easy, especially if you remove the spare tire as suggested. Truck is a 2007 2500 HD Classic Body CCSB.
Only side note is that there is less clearance between the hitch and exhaust, which could potentially be trouble if you are running an aftermarket 5” system (see photo). It still worked for me and overall I am very satisfied with the purchase.
Easy install and incredibly beefy and stout. I pull my flatbed and jeep wrangler unlimited to trails. Yesterday I just got home from towing to Hurricane, Utah and back. Rough roads big grades, no problems from any component of my trailer system.
Installed curt receiver part #C15302 on my 2005 gmc Sierra hd2500 crew cab short bed duramax diesel and it fit absolutely perfectly. Part looks to be extremely heavy duty and very well built. Would absolutely recommend this part.
My truck was missing the mounting bracket for the wiring connector and this unit did not include any sort of bracket. It is very heavy duty so drilling into it would be a bit of a process. I would look into mounting to the bottom side of the bumper.
No comparison to the stock hitch. Very sturdy with no flex. One less worry when towing a heavy trailer. A true bolt on hitch. Great price and fast shipping. Thanks etrailer.

My stock receiver was twisting with my trailer on it...stock 1000# etrailer curt is 2400#

Direct bolt on. Make sure to keep hardware from old hitch if doing replacement like myself this utilizes 2 bolts from factory. Very easy install. Definitely a nice upgrade from my rusted into pieces factory hitch. Could tel right away it was good xonstruction weighs about twice as much as factory hitch. We'll see how she pulls soon.

This Curt hitch receiver is very well made and has towed heavy all year with no problems. I would definitely recommend this hitch receiver.
