There are a few differences to consider between the Curt Hitch # C13417 and the Draw-Tite # DT73GR. First off, the Curt has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 900 pounds/maximum tow capacity of 6,000 pounds while the Draw-Tite has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 1,125 pounds/maximum tow capacity of 7,500 pounds. In addition, the Curt hitch is assembled in the U.S.A. while the Draw-Tite is manufactured and assembled overseas.
Also, when it comes to installation, the Draw-Tite requires you to lower your spare tire during the installation, where you can leave your spare tire attached during the Curt's installation.
Finally, there are differences in bumper clearance measurements and ground clearance. With the Curt, the distance between the center of the hitch's pinhole to the outside face of the rear bumper is about 4 inches and the ground clearance measurement is about 17 inches to the bottom of the hitch receiver to the ground. As far as the Draw-Tite, the bumper clearance measurement is about 5 inches and the ground clearance is about 17-1/2 inches. These dimensions are important for making decisions about what shank length/ground clearance requirements you need for your desired accessories.
With all things considered, I recommend the Curt hitch because it involves an easier installation and has the benefit of being assembled in the U.S.
If you are planning to tow on your 2021 Ford Ranger, I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches - 2" Ball - 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop # C45534. This kit comes with a compatible locking hitch pin.
If you have an idea about what accessories/cargo you wish to transport, feel free to respond to this answer with your needs and I will be happy to recommend the best products.
