I personally have not seen anyone using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12115 on a 2011 Buick Regal for carrying a power scooter. The Curt receiver being a class 2 only has a 1-1/4" receiver and most of the wheelchair/scooter carriers like the 29x49 Cargo Carrier w/ 60" Ramp # FHG69ZR require a 2" receiver. While there are adapters like # 80303 that will allow for you to use a 2" hitch accessory on a 1-1/4" receiver, they will reduce the capacity by 50%. That would bring the Curt receiver down from 350lbs to 175lbs. The carrier alone weighs 77lbs so your power scooter would not be able to weigh more than 98bs.

If you were to find a small folding wheel chair trailer you could pull that quite easily with your Regal. You would need a Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59496 so that you can control the tail lights on the trailer. I recommend the Tekonsha over the Hopkins # HM11141375 since the Hopkins does not use a powered converter and places all the additional strain on the factory wiring in you Regal. This connector will connect to the the 4-way flat harness on most small trailers to control the tail lights on the trailer.

You will also need a drawbar for your trailer and a Hitch Pin and Clip # F-4. We have a Euro Style Drawbar with a 1-7/8" Ball # C45571 or 2" Ball # C45572 depending on what the trailer coupler requires.
