Adding Roller Bunks to a Boat Trailer with 8 Foot Carpeted Bunks

Question:

Could you please help me with an option to replace the middle bunks on this Trailer? Its an ~3000lbs boat. The middle bunks are 8 feet, with three mounting points on the trailer chassis. How would you suggest replacing these? Would it be possible to use two sets of DL21740 by connecting them so the length will become 8 feet in total? The trailer is a Trailstar trailer from Tracker Marine L.P Type Q4

What I recommend for you is exactly what you have suggested. Use a total of 2 sets, 1 set of each center bunk, to reach the 8 feet you need. These will secure directly to the tops of the existing bunks. You will not need to replace the bunks. I have included a link to a video review of these bunks for you.

The capacity is for a set. So if all the weight was ever on one set of bunks it would exceed the capacity. But since the weight is being dispersed it will not exceed the capacity.
