Will An Equalizer Weight Distribution Shank Work With A Reese Dual Cam Weight Distribution System

I have a new tow vehicle with a 2.5inch receiver. I wanted to swap the 2inch shank to a 2.5inch shank.

Yes, a shank like the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch # EQ90-02-4900 could work for your Reese system but be sure you are using a shank that matches or exceeds the capacity of your Reese system as well as provides enough rise or drop as needed. Weight distribution shanks are universal and can be used between manufacturers. That said, I did contact Equalizer who mentioned that using a different manufacturer's shank on their weight distribution system could potentially affect the warranty of the weight distribution system which may apply to Reese as well.
