How To Wire the Reverse Solenoid On the Titan 20K Hydraulic Brake Actuator

Question:

The two black wires on the solenoid, what is the simplest method to incorporate the into the plug that connects to the truck? Is there a schematic, as there was nothing in the box in the way of instructions when I opened it and installed the unit on my trailer today.

The Titan Hydraulic Brake Actuator part # T4854120 has two black wires that are used for the reverse lockout solenoid, one goes to the reverse light circuit on the trailer connector and the other to a ground. It does not matter which black wire gets run to either of these places.

If you have a 7-way trailer connector on the trailer then there is already a port present for the reverse light circuit. If you only have a 4-way trailer connector then you will need to replace this and use an adapter, the Hopkins Endurance 5-Way part # HM47910 with the 4-Way Flat to 5-Way Flat Adapter part # C57187.
