Replacement Coupler For Boat Trailer Bolt On Surge Coupler Switched to Electric Actuated Brakes

Question:

Hi, I have a trailer with an old hydraulic brake setup that Ive converted to electric brakes. Im wondering if there is any specific coupler available that would be a direct fit. The existing coupler/hydraulic setup is bolted to the frame of the trailer, but the spacing is closer to 2.25 as opposed to the 2 spacing Im seeing on most of your couplers. Any suggestions, without having to get new holes drilled? I have a picture. Thanks

Thank you for the image. It appears you will need either the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM13203-95 or # DM16080-95. Both of these couplers have a zinc coating for increased corrosion resistance and fit on a standard 3" wide channel tongue.

The Coupler # DM13203-95 has the bolt holes spread 5" on center and 0.85" from the top of the coupler.

The Coupler # DM16080-95 also has the bolt holes spread 5" on center but they sit lower at 1-1/4" below the top of the coupler.

If you have a different measurement please let me know.
