Im looking to replace my current brake actuator. Its a disk brake system. Can you tell me what is the difference between these two products? DX29FR DX56FR

The difference is the trailer tongue size the coupler was designed to fit. The part # DX29FR is designed to fit a 3 inch by 4 inch straight tongue whereas the part # DX56FR is designed to fit a 3 inch by 5 inch straight tongue. Aside from that they are both 7,500 lb trailer coupler actuators with a 7,500 lb capacity designed for 2 inch hitch balls.

We do have a potential solution for you, but the Replacement Inner Member #DX99FR is not a suitable replacement for the TDE 8000LP. The #DX99FR is made only for Dexter DX7.5L and Legacy UFP actuators. The pins will not line up with a TDE I am sorry…

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
