Troubleshooting Left Turn Signal Working Only Part of Time on Boat Trailer
Question:
Left turn signal stops working escape And boat trailer while enroute to cabin approx 3 hrs. Left signal doesnt work for approx 1 week after return on escape, than works fine.

The issue you are experiencing is likely a bad ground connection. It sounds like it worked, then didn't, and now works again which definitely sounds like the ground connection. I recommend checking your main ground connection on your boat trailer if there is a consistant spot on your frame. If not, then I recommend checking the ground connection at your tail lights. There is sometimes a separate ground wire for each light and other times the ground is through the mounting hardware on the light fixture. Use some sand paper to make sure your connections are bare metal to metal on the frame and free of any corrosion, debris, or even paint.
Next check the pin connection at the vehicle where the trailer connects. Clean these pins with sand paper and add some dielectric grease # 11755 as well. Next check the ground on the vehicle side controller in the same way. Let me know if you still have the issue following this and we can continue to troubleshoot.
