Control the electric radiator fan with this automatic thermostat switch. When fluid temperatures exceed 190 degrees, the fan turns on to provide more cooling. If the temp drops to 175 degrees, the fan stops, saving power.
Features:
- Conserves power by shutting off radiator fan if fluid temperature falls below 175 degrees
- Provides necessary airflow for sufficient cooling by switching fan on when temperature reaches 190 degrees
- Switch remains in the open position until activated at 190 degrees
- Includes 2 different-size thread-in probes to fit your application
- Relay harness (sold separately) may be required for fans that draw more than 10 amps

The temp sensor arrived on the date promised. Following the provided instructions, I installed the sensor and fired up the engine for warm-up. Right on schedule when the oil temp reached 190*F the cooling fan kicked on cooling the oil. I have read reviews on this sensor saying construction was inferior that similar products. My opinion is, if reason able care is exercised, this sensor should work for many years. I give it a 5 star rating..

Used this radiator fan switch on a 1980 Honda CX500D motorcycle. It works fine with Ducati electric fan installed.

I used this switch to replace an OE switch in a older Polaris Magnum. Worked like a champ so far!! Thanks etrailer for the great price.

- Probe Thread Length on Derale Thread-In Thermostat Fan Control with Dual Threads # D16731I went to our warehouse to measure the threads on the Derale Thread-In Thermostat Fan Control, # D16731, for you. The thread length on the 1/8" probe measure 11/32" and the thread length on the 3/8" probe measure 17/32". I have included a picture with these measurements.

- Adjustable Fan Control Recommendation for Engine Cooling FanThe best thing I can recommend for you would be the Derale Adjustable Fan Control Thermostat # D16749. This product is adjustable from 150-240 degrees so it should work very well for you once set where you wanted it. At this time we do not offer any thread-in fan control switches like the # D16731 that you referenced that are 195 or 200 degrees.
