How Does Brake Controller Wire to 2012 Chevy Express Van
Question:
My 2012 Chevy Express 1500 Cargo van came from the dealer w/the HD Trailering Equip pkg Z82 and the 7 Lead Trailer Wiring Harness UY7. Under the dash on drivers side just to left of steering column is a four wire pigtail labeled like this: WIRE \\ IDENTITY BK GND RD/WH BATT FU D-BL TRL FD AUX CIR L-BU/WH FU CHMSL My question is: since the Primus IQ has four wires, and my pigtail appears to be pre-installed and the RD/WH and L-BU/WH seem to imply they come fused, and the RD/WH is battery, do I need anything more than just the trailer brake controller and a little direct wiring between these four wires per your online video? I can provide pics or doma call if that helps. Thank you!

What you found is the correct wiring to use for your brake controller. Nothing else would be needed aside from just making the connections themselves.
On the controller the white wire is ground, the blue is brake output feed, black is 12 volt power, and red is stoplight circuit. Most of the circuit labels are pretty self explanatory but the one labeled CHMSL is the correct circuit for the red wire.
