Under-platform ladders are great for providing quick access to your boat from the water without taking up valuable deck space. The sliding design of this ladder allows it to attach under the deck and collapse into the mount when it's not in use for a clean look. The built-in latch secures the ladder when it's stowed to ensure that it stays in place.

To deploy the ladder, simply undo the latch and slide the ladder out of the base. The telescoping legs can then be quickly extended down for use.

Sturdy, Durable Construction

The ladder rungs are covered with UV-resistant, non-skid plastic step pads that ensure steady footing. The ladder is constructed of high-quality 304 stainless steel, which resists corrosion and pitting. The steel has also been electropolished to remove impurities and create a smooth surface free of imperfections. As a result, the ladder is easy to clean and even more resistant to corrosion than untreated stainless steel.

Video Transcript for Review of Jif Marine Boat Ladders - 4 Step Telescoping Pontoon Boat Ladder - JIF55VR

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this four step stainless steel pontoon boat ladder. This is gonna make it much easier for you to get back up into your pontoon after you've enjoyed some time out in the water. And this is an under deck mount so it's going to free up some of that valuable deck space on the top. And then when you're ready to put the ladder away just slides back and then telescopes in.

So you're gonna have a nice convenient out of the way storage. It's gonna look really nice on the back of your boat. You're not gonna have that ladder hanging out. You can see this does have that spring loaded closure that's gonna keep the ladder in place like so. So as we're storing it it's gonna be nice and snug in there.

Not gonna have to worry about it coming out. Then when we're ready to use it again just pull that in and it telescopes back out. Like so. Now our overall length from where this is going to attach to the underside of your dock deck down to the very end, it's about 44 inches. It is at a slight angle, so your actual depth, if you we're to measure straight down, it's right about 40 inches.

So it should be plenty for you to get a ladder down into the water, allow you to get up easily. Our width here for our ladder is about 11 and a half inches. So it's not super wide. You'll probably just have one foot on the step at a time to climb up but it should be plenty for you to do. our wrongs here are spaced, right about 10 and three quarters of an inch.

Our shortest one here is about 10 and a half inches. So it's gonna be very comfortable for you to climb up and get into your pontoon. And this is a stainless steel, three 16 stainless steel electrical polished finish. So it's going to be very corrosion resistant. It's gonna resist corrosion and pitting. It's going to be extremely easy to clean and it's going to be very durable. It's got a 400 pound weight capacity. So it'll allow even large people like myself to get back up into the pontoon. It'll hold that weight well. And our wrongs here are covered in this UV resistant non-skid plastic tread. So it's going to give us a nice little traction pad there. As we're climbing up into our pontoon, make sure that our wet feet aren't going to slip. Along the the top here our mounting platform we do have these quarter inch holes that are pre-drilled so that we can get our whole ladder system mounted to the underside. Now, the hardware to get those installed is not included. So you will have to pick that up separately. As far as our width and depth, when it's stored you're gonna be looking at right about 12 and three quarters of an inch wide that's including these bolt heads back here that allow our ladder to slide. It's about 12 and three quarters of an inch wide. And then our overall depth is about 17 and three eights of an inch. So make sure that you've got enough room to get this mounted on the underside of your pontoon deck. Overall, I think this is gonna be a really nice option for you. Very easy to get stored away and then pull out when you need it. So you can enjoy those days out on your pontoon boat. That's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
