Finding Trailer Brake Controller Install Wiring on 2016 Chevy Colorado
Question:
Im looking to add an aftermarket trailer brake assist controller redarc two pro to my 2016 Colorado Z71 However, I checked to see if I could find the 4 wires located behind the driver side kick panel and on first glance, I could not see them. Do I need to un wrap the cluster to locate them? Could it be possible that I do not have them on my truck and if so what would my options be at that point? Thanks for any assistance

The four wires needed to install a brake controller in your 2016 Chevy Colorado sometimes can be a bit buried. If you keep looking you will find it. I attached a picture that shows about whereit will be once the panel is pulled off as well as an install video for the P2 part # 90885 on a similar 2018 Colorado that will walk you through the entire process of the install.
As long as your truck has a factory 7-way at the rear of it the wiring you are looking for is there and it's just a matter of locating it.
