What is Bolt Size for Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36408
Question:
36408 What size are the bolts for a 2005 Equinox Reese hitch? I know they are M12 . What about the threads. M12-1.75 fits the bottom holes but the side holes are different. I cleaned them and still cant seem to get anything started in them. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The bolts included in the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36408 for your 2005 Chevrolet Equinox are M12-1.75 x 40mm.
If you are having trouble with the bolt starting in the threads of your weld nuts, most likely there is still some dirt or corrosion in the weld nuts on your vehicle, even after cleaning them. I have attached a helpful article that lists a step-by-step process for cleaning out the weld nuts as this is not an uncommon problem.
