How Does a Brake Controller Wire to a 2006 Chevy Express Van without 7-Way
Question:
I am working on a 2006 3500 Chevy Express van. I have located the 4 wires required for brake control under the dash, by the emergency brake, but can not find the 7 wire harness at the rear of the vehicle. I know the light blue wire goes to the trailer brakes but I can not find the other end. Where else could the light blue wire lead?

Not every 2006 Chevy Express Van came with a factory 7-way. If yours has all of the wiring for a brake controller you can use it to wire up the brake controller but then would need to use the part # ETBC7 to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. The blue wire would need to be extended back to the rear of the vehicle.
I attached an install video that shows this kit being installed on a 2007 Express Van just like yours.
If you were in need of a 4-way as well you would need the part # 118392 too.
