I checked the owner's manual for the 2013 Toyota Corolla. It states that the maximum gross trailer weight the vehicle can tow is 1,500 pounds if the trailer has brakes or 1,000 pounds if the trailer does not have brakes. But only for models with a 2.4 liter motor. At 1,200 pound you are under that 1,500 pound limit for a trailer with brakes. But towing will put additional stress on the vehicle.

For a trailer hitch I recommend # C11265. The recommended ball mount is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19257 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring you can use # 55542 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle. The pin and clip is # F-4

I do recommend adding a transmission cooler if your Corolla has an automatic transmission. This will help prevent the transmission for overheating. The most popular transmission cooler is # D13503. If the vehicle has a closed system (meaning you cannot even check the transmission fluid yourself) or on any vehicle with a CVT transmission I recommend having the cooler professionally installed.
