Backing Plate Recommendation for E-Track for Securing Track to Wood Floor Trailer

Question:

I am getting a 16foot utility trailer, with 2 x 6 floor, in a couple of weeks. I have a JD sub compact tractor that weighs approx. 2500 lbs. Will e track work for this application? If so, I would like put a row down each side. What would be the best way to install 8foot lengths? Thanks

The E-Track like part # E19148 that you referenced has a capacity of 2,000 lbs so it would do well securing a 2,500 lb trailer at 4 points as each track would have 1/2 the weight. I would recommend you use backing plates below the floor of your trailer like part # e96RR since your tractor is pretty heavy and the floor of your trailer is wood.

For D-Rings to install in the track you would want the part # E59143 so that you could use a ratchet strap like the # EM01314.
