2-Inch Hitch Adapter for Use in Curt Hitch C13149 on 2012 Toyota RAV4

I have a 2012 rav4, I wonder if the Curt Dual 2inch Receiver Tube Adapter, 8inch Extension, will clear the rear bumper, thanks!!

When we installed Curt Class III hitch # C13149 on the 2012 Toyota RAV4 the hitch pin hole on the receiver tube was positioned about 5-1/2-inches forward of the rear-mounted spare tire cover. I suspect this is why you're looking at a hitch extension like Curt # C45791 which provides 8-inches of additional length at the hitch.
This adapter will fit into your 2-inch hitch, but note that this and all other hitch adapters/extenders will also cause you to lose 50-percent of your rated hitch capacity. In the case of the Curt hitch # C13149 this means your tongue weight capacity drops to about 262-lbs and your towing capacity drops to about 1750-lbs.
We do offer adapters with height rise for better ground clearance. Part # MPG544 is a 10-1/2-inch extension with a second receiver tube on top that can be used with accessories like bike racks.
Keep in mind that if you're using a hitch-mounted bike rack that the reduced hitch capacity must still be enough for the weight of your bike rack, plus the weight of all the loaded bikes. You may also find that there could be a bit more random motion of the rack/adapter due to the addition of a second connection point (between the hitch and the adapter). You might find you'll want to use a support strap like # 18050.
