This RV sewer wye with valve is a part of your motor home's waste management system. The Y-configuration combines the flow of wastewater from your gray-water line and your black-water tank. Connect your sewer hose to the 3" lug fitting on the sewer wye and open the valves to drain your holding tanks.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Valterra RV waste valve. This RV sewer Y combines an 1-1/2" waste pipe and a 3" waste valve. It can be used as a replacement part or as an upgrade to your existing setup. As you can see here, it does have the Y configuration, which merges the flow of waste from your black water tank and gray water tank or gray water line.This connection point right here is the 3" spigot. This slides into your RV's black water line. That has an outer diameter measurement of 3-1/2" and this line does have a Bladex valve with the black T handle on it.
That does have a metal stem on there so it's a little bit more durable, nice strong construction. The black T handle let's us identify that that is the valve for the black water tank. But that allows for easy operation and easy control of the black water line. Again, this line does have a Bladex valve for easy operation and control of waste flow when emptying the black water tank.Right here we have the 2" hub that slides over your gray water line. That has an inner diameter measurement from inside edge to inside edge of 2-3/8".
Then right here we have the bayonet style cap which covers the four-prong lug fitting. This is where you'd connect your sewer hose to. It accepts standard 3" sewer hoses that have a bayonet style fitting on them. That way you can connect here to the hub. It has the integrated strap that keeps the cap connected.
That way you don't misplace it or lose it. Internally on the cap it does have the appropriate seals to insure leak-proof performance.The unit itself is constructed of durable ABS plastic construction. When installing this, it does require ABS solvent cement. That is not included, so it is sold separately and available at etrailer.com if you'd like to pick some up and if you're in need.That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra RV waste valve.
