The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
This light has an industry-standard PL-3 connection as pictured above. The light accepts a 3-prong plug (A45PB or A47PB - both sold separately).
Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath a housing or a grommet (A70GB) sold separately. These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.

Purchased LED lights to re-wire a 12-year old trailer. etrailer had all the lights/gaskets needed. Perfect fit to the original OEM lights.
I think that these are going to be a great upgrade to my trailer
These were purchased to replace OEM lights on our boat trailer, one of which had cracked, flooded, and stopped working. New lights were a direct replacement and took less than 5 minutes to install. These lights are far brighter than the OEM lights, and are still working great after almost a year of being repeatedly dunked in the water.
The backing plates and drums came quickly and all items necessary for installation were there except for the nuts that hold the backing plates to the axle flange. I guess they assume this is a replacement part rather than a new installation. The nuts were purchased at my local hardware store for a couple dollars, some grease for the bearings and the parts were on in a couple hours. The price was reasonable here too and free shipping. I will order from etrailer next time.
The led lights work perfectly. My RV would not power all the lights my enclosed trailer has on it, so I went to the led lights that require a lot less electricity. It worked and I am on my way. Thank you for prompt service getting my order to me:)
These have been on my trailer for a year now and still shine like new. Very bright and very noticeable as running lights and especially brake/turn signals. Shines consistent as well. Would recommend.

Arrived earlier than expected. Company sent emails updating on shipment. Plus, tracking worked. And, best yet, the lights plugged in and worked as advertised. Much brighter -- as they should be -- than the old incandescent bulbs they replaced.
