  • Difference Between Stake Pockets
I believe you may have been referencing the Curt # C83072 and the etrailer # HW03-080 because the only stake pocket from Redline is the Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchor # WFSPDR which has a D-ring and is much more than twice the Curt because it has a different application. Assuming that, the difference between the two stake pockets is simply the dimensions. The Curt # C83072 has inner dimensions of 3-3/4" long x 1-5/8" wide x 3" tall and has steel which is 3/16" thick, while the etrailer #...

  • Which Stake Pocket Fits a Standard 2x4 Without Cutting the 2x4
The inside dimensions of the # C83072 Curt Stake Pocket for Flatbed Trucks or Trailers are 3-3/4" long x 1-5/8" wide x 3" tall. A standard 2x4 measures 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" thick. Given these dimensions the 2x4 should fit inside of the bracket without a need to cut anything. I have attached a review video for your reference.

  • Stake Pockets for Wooden Side Stakes on Trailer
It sounds like you're looking for stake pocket brackets to add to your trailer. We have a couple different options that will support 2 x 4 stakes. The # 337B2374GZ which is zinc coated can bolt-on. Something like the Curt # C83072 would require a weld-on installation.

  • Compatibility of the Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchor Part # WFSPDR
The Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchor part # WFSPDR is designed to fit in a standard 2x4 stake pocket opening which actually measures to be around 3-1/2" long x 1-1/2" wide inside to inside. If the "5x1.75inch" you provided is formatted length x width then this tie-down would not be a good fit for you and I recommend adding part # C83072 in order to accommodate it. I have attached a review video of the above tie-down for you. The dimensions for the tie-down can be found on the product page.

  • What 4-Inch Wide Stake Pockets do You Recommend for My Aluma Trailer?
The best option we have for 4-inch wide weld-on stake pockets are the Curt Stake Pocket for Flatbed Trucks or Trailers - Qty 1 # C83072. These particular pockets measure 3-3/4 inches wide x 3 inches tall. The pocket is designed for standard 2x4 boards, which measures 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" thick. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows the dimensions of the pocket. It is important to note that these are not made of aluminum.

  • Stake Pockets for Utility Trailer
We carry a number of stake pockets and you can choose the correct one for your application in terms of size and weld or bolt on. The bolt-on option is the CE Smith Stake Pocket # CE45004G which is 3-1/2" long x 1-1/2" wide x 2-1/2" tall, has a stake pocket opening of 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" deep and 3/8" diameter mounting holes. For weld on stake pockets there is the Curt # C83072 which is 4-1/8" long x 1-7/8" wide x 3" tall; the etrailer # HW03-080 which is 3-9/16" wide x 1-9/16" deep x...

  • Do 2x4s Get Attached Into the Stake Pocket # C83072
Typically there is a wall section built of wood and the stake pockets like part # C83072 allow the 2 x 4s to install. Usually the top section of the wall is attached at the front and back of the flat bed in some way which will hold the boards into the pockets. These pockets are designed to fit the standard 2x4 size and allow a bit of movement but if the walls built that use the pockets are secured properly the extra space would not be an issue.
