Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Durabilt recessed chain tie-down for trailers. Has a 6,600 pound working load limit. Now, this chain tie-down will provide a nice, sturdy anchor point in the floor of your flatbed trailer. You can use it to secure equipment, lumber, recreational vehicles and other items.

The flush design of this part lets the tie-down tube portion sit level with your trailer's floor. And then the chain portion will store inside the tube and it remains covered by this built-in cap when it's not in use. And then to use it, you just lift up on this cap, pull your chain up out of the floor, and then hook it to your tie-downs. Now, installation, install this does require welding. The chain they use on this is a grade 70 chain.

And the steel tube, they're also very durable. You can see it has a nice red paint finish on it, which is highly visible. And this part is manufactured to NACM 96 specifications. Again, we mentioned the safe working load limit is 6,600 pounds. The proof load limit, it's 13,200 pounds.

But just to give you an idea when you, this is installed, basically, it would be beneath the trailer floor. And you'd have the cap on it, so that it would all sit flush just like that. And then when you go to hook up to tie down, just pull this portion up with the chain, hook it to this chain and it'll hold it into place because it's secured here.
