Today, we're going to be taking a look at the replacement hook-up brackets for the Curt Weight Distribution Systems. These brackets feature a really nice low-profile design. That way they don't interfere with frame-mounted items, such as gas tanks, toolboxes, generators, and battery boxes. These brackets are made from a durable steel construction, and they feature a black powder-coated finish to help them resist rust and corrosion and last a long time. Again, these are for Curt Weight Distribution Systems. The following part numbers are the brackets that these are going to work with: C17007, 17300, 17301, 17302, C17330, C17331, and C17332. When it comes to the size of frame that these are going to fit, we can tell that by taking a measurement right here.
This is the portion that fits onto the trailer frame. If we measure that opening, we can see that that's going to measure up to 2 3/4 of an inch. These are going to fit frames that have a width up to 2 3/4 of an inch wide. They're going to take up around 4 inches along the trailer frame. This part number is going to come with your two hook-up brackets. It's going to come with two different sets of bolts, and it's going to come with these clips right here.
These clips are what hold the brackets into the up position. You can lower these to hook up to the chain, and then use your leverage bar to get these in the up position. Then secure them in place by taking this clip and feeding it through. That's going to hold it into the up or towing position. Again, it does come with two different length bolts. You can use these longer bolts for narrower trailer frames.
They thread in there, and they pinch this bracket along the trailer frame. These are going to measure 4" long from the bottom of the bolt head to the end of the threaded portion. Then you can use the shorter bolts for thicker trailer frames. These are going to measure 2" long from the bottom of the bolt head to the end of the threaded portion. Worked great, had to modify to fit my application ( cut top and welded on ) the reason being is I moved my jack back so tailgate would clear when open.

I've used these before on other trailers. They are as good or better than any other "generic" hook-up brackets for a chain type weight distribution system. Of equal importance is the price is considerably lower than anything else I've found. They are shaped to fit a wide variety of trailer A-Frames of different widths and heights. Although they are designed to rest on the trailer frame and tightened with an included bolt, I always take them to a welder and have them permanently attached to the frame. This precludes losing them, forgetting them, having them stolen, etc.

I ordered these for another trailer that I own so as to not have to buy a whole new kit that would cost well over $200. SO this saved me money up front. Next it was delivered much faster then expected. The product is built heavy to last and hold the weight intended providing more safety at highway speeds. Still going strong, love this product. Pro tip keep the cotter pins hanging from the bracket bolts when not in use so you don't lose em. Also make sure you understand the bolt that holds the brackets on does not get torqued, you will bend your frame! Just snug per instructions.

i was told part was size i asked for over phone and when received part was incorrect size when called to find out how to return was told i will be able to return part for refund will get step by step return information that i will have to pay for but did not get info promised to return only i can request have asked for information to return but still have not received yet . and i will have to pay for return my self

I've ordered this set of Curt Hookup Brackets before for my current trailer and was so pleased that I just purchased another set for a trailer I have on order. I always have my brackets welded-on, therefore, I need new brackets when I trade trailers. When I have a choice, I prefer Curt products because the quality is excellent and the cost is always very competitive.

Got these for our 23 foot Rockwood Ultra Light. Don't know why the trailer,didn't come with them, but I prefer them even on a light trailer. These are really heavy duty and bolt on. I'll probably have a welder tack weld them, just in case. The y use heavy duty bolts, but one thing I have learned about trailering is that overdoing is always better than underdoing. The price was right. The service and shipping were quick and correct. Good company.
