Roadmaster

Great hitch! My second one. Have another on my Roadmaster Wagon. Installs easily after drilling four 1/2 inch holes and spinning the u-bolts into the frame. Tail light harness makes for an easy plug and play install.

by:
1996 Buick Roadmaster

Took me 25 min at home to install yr hitch and wire harness not one issue everything fit hardware you supplied was perfect. Thank you very much

Fit was perfect on my 1995 Buick Roadmaster sedan. Easy install. Works great.

1996 Chevrolet Impala

Works well on 96 Impala SS with factory-style dual exhaust.

Only hiccup was having to slightly enlarge the 4 bolt holes on bumper support with same drill bit used to drill holes in frame - 2 minute addition to the job.

Pleased with the unit, the price, and etrailer as always.

1994 Chevrolet Caprice

With a little elbow grease this hitch fits perfect on my caprice. I understood the unit was not the easiest to come by given its age but the folks at etrailer got it done. I'm really happy with the product and my service.

  • Differences Between Class II and Class III Trailer Hitches
The biggest difference between a Class II hitch and a Class III is the size of the hitch opening. The Class II will have an opening that is 1-1/4 inch by 1-1/4 inch and lower capacities whereas the Class III will have a 2 inch by 2 inch opening with higher capacities. There aren't always Class III hitches available for every vehicle. For example your 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon only has a Class II hitch available, part # C12009. The Class III hitches are generally reserved for...

The hitches we have for your 1991 Chevy Caprice are 1-1/4 inch like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # C12009. The 2 inch hitches are reserved for larger vehicles like trucks and SUVs that would have higher towing capacities.

  • How to Tow a Trailer with Brakes with a 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C12009 is a confirmed fit for your 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS and will work well for you. In order to tow a trailer with brakes you will also need to use both the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55347 and the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controllers part # ETBC7. If you need a brake controller I recommend the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller part # C24VV with the Universal Wiring Adapter part # C51515. The only other...

  • Trailer Hitch for a 1979 Buick Estate Wagon
There is only one trailer hitch that fits the 1979 Buick Estate Wagon. It is # C12009. But this is a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver rated for 350 pounds tongue weight and 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight. There isn't a higher capacity hitch available for this vehicle.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 1994 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon
I do have an option for you, however the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Hitch Receiver # 75676 referenced in your question is designed for certain model year Lexus vehicles and will not fit your Buick Roadmaster Wagon. For your vehicle, I instead recommend the Curt # C12009, which is confirmed to fit your 1994 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. This is a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening, but it does feature a 3,500 pound towing weight capacity. This is the highest rated hitch...

  • Is There a Class III Hitch for a 1994 Chevy Caprice
I do have an option for you but there is only one trailer hitch option for a 1994 Chevrolet Caprice and that's the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C12009 which is a class II. It however can still be used for towing up to 3,500 lbs but there would be no options for weight distribution. I do understand you want to use a class III hitch and weight distribution system but that won't be an option.

  • What Hitch do You Recommend for My 1987 Chevy Caprice Sedan?
While we do have a great hitch option for your 1987 Chevy Caprice, we do not have any Class III hitches that fit. With that being said, your best and only option is to use the Curt Hitch - Class II - 1-1/4" # C12009. Not only does the hitch come with 350 pounds of maximum tongue weight capacity and 3,500 pounds of maximum gross towing weight capacity, it also comes with a higher-quality gloss outer coating that provides more protection against rust and corrosion than any of our other brands....

  • How To Order Replacement Trailer Hitch Installation Hardware For 1994 Buick Roadmaster Sedan
For a 1994 Buick Roadmaster we offer one trailer hitch. It is the Class ll Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C12009. This trailer hitch has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. For this hitch a tech note form Curt states that all non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps, like part # 18050. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt. For replacement hardware for a trailer hitch you can type # RHK...
