I won't shop anywhere else! Excellent customer service. Huge selection. Prompt delivery. Everything I needed for my custom flatbed trailer (single axle,7000#).

by:

Bought this to replace the shackle links and hardware for an existing aluminum trailer, did not use the brackets. Bolt shafts are "flared" on the inside head end so you need a press to push them into the bracket. Otherwise, you need to crank down the nuts as you install them to seat the bolts properly.

by:

Good kit with the necessary parts to replace leaf spring suspension. I welded the hangers rather than bolting them. The parts are not coated for the price point so you will need to paint them or they will rust immediately.

by:

Made a nice little trailer to haul wife’s golf cart!

by:

I have been doing business with etrailer for several years and there deliveries, service and products are the best out there.

by:

A good source for trailer parts. For finding parts, you need to know the specs of the trailer, not necessarily the manufacturer. Thanks etrailer!

by:

I inherited an aluminum trailer that ended up needing a complete overhaul and etrailer was the best resource I could have found. After researching extensively to find out what I needed and watching their videos on how to do it I ended up ordering an EZ-lube axle, galvanized hubs, springs and a hanger kit (in other words everything from the frame down).
Everything shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. All the parts worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier!

by:

Everything was just as I ordered it and it fits like a glove

by:

All businesses should be like etrailer! The gal was so kind and knowledgeable to help my husband get the right leaf spring replacements. We ordered a tire last spring and the same, excellent service and prompt delivery. Thanks so much

Received my parts today and after examining everything all looks good.
The quality of parts looks excellent and can't wait to start installing them.
Shipping was fast and arrived as they said.
Great company to buy with.
Will was very helpful and very knowledgeable about parts.
If you call would definitely ask for Will.

by:

Great product. Exactly what we needed

by:

Product arrived just as described and very quickly. This kit was a great way to drop the springs on our trailer enough for the axle to be put on correctly.

by:

Great service, great value

by:

Quick shipping.......reasonable prices

by:

Very good product, and Im very satisfied thank you

by:

Product was very good quality. Website was very thorough which made it much more comfortable ordering the proper parts. Fast delivery with updates throughout the process. Good quality service.

by:

The hangers look good and I believe they will do a great job. I need to move my axle back on my trailer so it will be able to haul some weight. It is a dump style body and can't handle weight, only on the front of the trailer. So I am going to move the axle back about 6 to 8 inches. The tracking info on the kit was great... ALL gratitude goes to your company...

It works great. Thanks for making a wonderful product. I give you 5 stars.

by:

I had to email customer service as I bracket was folded incorrectly so that the bolt holes did not line up. Upon recieveing my email, a replacement was on the way! EXCELLENT customer service. Thank you etrailer.

Worked great on my 5x10 utility trailer

  • Will Spline Length of Bolts from Single Axle Hanger Kit APS4 Prevent Leaf Spring Movement
The spline length of the bolt that come with the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APS4 aren't long enough that they would prevent the movement of a leaf spring with it. Basically holds the bolt to the shackle or hanger but does not go through enough to the spring to prevent it from moving.

  • Replacement Leaf Spring Solution for Trailer with 3,500 lb Slipper Springs that are Non-Standard
Thanks for the kind words! We try to be as helpful as possible! Since what you have is not typical and would be hard to come up with an exact match that would work well I would recommend going to a new setup that uses a more standard spring style and size like the part # e54SR which is the most common size at 25-1/8 inches and also style as it's a double leaf spring. Then for a simple single axle hanger kit the part # APS4 would be a really great option to get you back on the road. This...

  • Parts Needed To Replace Slipper Springs With Double Eye Springs
If your trailer truly has a front and rear bracket for double eye springs you can absolutely use the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 27" Long # SP-210275 you were looking at as a replacement. With that said while the hangers may look alike, they are typically not the same. This spring is designed for 3500lb axles so you will want to make sure that your trailers axle has the same rating. If the spring is rated too high you will get a stiff ride, and if the spring is...

Hi Barney! Any of the single axle kits you listed will work just fine for your single axle trailer. The main differences between the kits you listed is their height and how they install so I'll list out the differences below and you can decide from there which option is best for your trailer. - 1-1/2" Front, 7/8" Rear (4-1/4" or 4-1/2" clearance between trailer frame and axle) - Kit # APS1 - 1-1/2" Front, 1-1/4" Rear (4" or 4-1/2" clearance between trailer frame and axle) - Kit #...

  • Where To Place the Leaf Spring Hangers On a Single Axle Trailer
The placement of your leaf spring hangers will be dependant on the location of your trailer axle (see photo). Therefore, I cannot give you an exact location on the trailer frame that they will need to be installed. However, I can tell you how far apart they must be installed but only if you use a kit we offer, the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit part # APS4 with the Double-Eye Spring part # e57SR. If you use these two parts then the leaf spring hangers will need to be 24-7/8" apart. The...

  • Can Trailer with Slipper Springs have Double Eye Springs attach to Same Hanger Channel
You have a really interesting suspension setup on your trailer. I don't know what the width of the channel is that your springs attach to but to go to a double leaf will require using a hanger kit like the part # APS4 that you referenced. If you were to add shackles to the rear hanger area the spring would be unlevel and you can't add them to the front as well. Plus you have to factor in that you most likely would not have room for two shackles and springs in the channel currently. So...
