We have a class II hitch that will fit your 96 Buick Roadmaster. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" Item # C12009. We haven't had the chance to install this hitch on a vehicle, but it is rated for a 50 minute install and has some drilling required. You can see the installation steps in the instructions I have linked. This Class II hitch is the only option for your vehicle so provided that its 3,500 pound capacity as well as the car's capacity are high enough for your trailer then it will work well.
The recommended ball mount for this hitch is # 36063 and for a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19257 or use # 19258 for a 2 inch. And for trailer wiring you can use # 18252 to add a 4-Way connector to the rear of the vehicle.
