Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Bulldog Winch Front Wiring Kit. This wiring kit provides power connection at the front of your vehicle for your winch or for booster cables. You'll notice that on one end of the wiring, we have the quick connect. On the other ends of the wires, we have the terminal end. So, it's a quick connect to a terminal end. It does come with the dust cover for the vehicle side.

Basically, your black wire connects to the negative post on your vehicle battery. Red wire connects to the positive post of your vehicle battery. This would run somewhere that's convenient to the front of your vehicle. It has slots in it right here so you can mount it permanently, if you want to. When you're not using this, you can actually take this dust cover, and you can place it in here, push it all the way in, and that keeps those terminals protected when you don't have anything connected to the unit.

It keeps the terminals clean when not in use. It's got the lanyard on here, so that way you can easily get that dust cover out when needed. Now, your wiring measures 7-1/2 feet long, so you got plenty of wiring to route and make your connections. It uses one gauge wires. Once you have it installed, you can use the large cable ties to get the wires safe and secured out of the way. This one right here would connect to the power cables on your winch.

That way when you're ready to make your connection, all you have to do is take this. You simply plug these components in together, and then your connection for power is made and you're ready to start operating your winch off your vehicle's battery. It uses 100% copper wire. It meets SAEJ1127 requirements or standards. That's going to do it for today's look at the Bulldog Winch Front Wiring Kit..

  • Recommended Wiring Size Kit for Trailer Winch Powered From Vehicle
I do have an option for you but 10 gauge wire is way too small for a winch, especially when you factor in the length of wire from the battery to the bumper. I recommend 1 gauge like what comes with the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit part # BDW20347. If you want to use your own wire you can purchase the Bulldog Winch Quick-Connect Set part # BDW20172.

  • Wiring Kit to Charge Trailer Battery that Powers Winch on Car Hauler
Since winches draw quite a bit of amperage you'll need a winch wiring kit that uses heavy gauge wires to keep your trailer battery charged. On the trailer side you'd want the 7-1/2 foot long wiring kit part # BDW20347 which uses 1 gauge wire and then on the vehicle side the # BDW20348 which is 24 feet and would run all the way up to the vehicle battery. The wiring of the battery and the winch does not need to run to the frame of the trailer.

  • Recommended 12k Winch And Mounting Plate For A Trailer Hitch Receiver
For a 12k winch I recommend the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW10039. Bulldog is a well-known name in the winch community and this specific model comes with a wireless remote that you can use to easily activate the winch from anywhere within a 100' radius. To get this winch mounted to your trailer hitch you'll need the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Winch Mounting Plate # BDW20011 and a reducer. You should have at most a 3" receiver tube opening so I recommend double checking the opening...

  • Parts Needed to Install 9,000 lbs Winch on the Front of a 2008 Jeep Liberty
Aside from using the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31020 to mount a winch on your 2008 Jeep Liberty there are a few other things that you will need to use Once the front trailer hitch is installed you can then use the Bulldog Winch Receiver Mount Kit # BDW20155 to carry the Bulldog DC9.0 Integrated Off-Road Winch # BD500600 which is rated for 9,000 lbs and is compatible with the mounting bracket kit. This winch comes with a remote control so that you can monitor the your...

  • What is the Amp Rating of the Bulldog Winch Front Wiring Kit # BDW20347?
I went ahead and reached out to my contact at Bulldog Winch, and he confirmed that the Bulldog Winch Front Wiring Kit - Quick Connect to Terminal End - 1 Gauge - 7-1/2' Long # BDW20347 is rated at 350 amps.

  • Wireless Brake Controller and Battery Charge Kit for Jeep Wrangler Towing Forest River E-Pro Camper
The setup you are interested in will be your best option to accomplish everything. The Curt Echo # C51180 is a great brake controller that can work without cell reception, in off-road situations, and is the easiest to transfer to other vehicles. Then to install it you need the part # ETBC7L. Now where you would need something else is that you want to significantly charge the trailer battery when towing which the 7-way kit is not equipped to do. On the trailer side you'd want the 7-1/2...

  • Best Way to Charge Batteries on Trailer that Has Pressure Washers
You'd need wiring that is capable of carrying higher amperage than standard trailer wiring to charge two batteries on a trailer that are going to be used as much as your setup. The best solution is to use winch wiring kits which use very heavy gauge wire like part # BDW20348 for 24 feet and # BDW20347 for 7-1/2 feet. You'd run the longer setup on your tow vehicle and then the shorter setup on your trailer. The vehicle side wiring would connect to the battery of the vehicle and the trailer...

  • Recommended Portable 10K Winch For Loading Equipment on a Tilt Trailer
I recommend using a Winch # SW39GR with the Hitch Mount # BDW20011. This way you only need a 2" receiver which is typically already on the rear of most trucks and are available for the front. For your tilt trailer you can weld on a Receiver # 337RT25806B where it works best to hold the winch. And we also have a Storage Mount # BDW20154 so you can place it in an easily dedicated area. The Winch # SW39GR does offer a wired or wireless remote. This is great as if you had an issue with the...

  • Best Options for Charging Trailer Battery with Tow Vehicle
To put a maintenance charge on the battery of your trailer you'd just need to connect the circuit in the 1:00 pin of your 7-way to the trailer battery's positive post with 10 gauge wire like the part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot. If you were wanting put a more substantial charge on it you'd need something with a heavier gauge wire so that the more amperage could transfer to it. On the trailer side you'd want the 7-1/2 foot long wiring kit part # BDW20347 which uses 1 gauge wire and...

  • Availability of Replacement Wiring Harness for Superwinch Winch 2 Go Portable Winch
To add a second wiring harness to your Superwinch Winch 2 Go Portable Winch # SW1140222 you can either use part # BDW20347 which comes with 7-1/2' of 1 gauge wire or part # BDW20298 which comes with 20' of 2 gauge wire. Both of these have the Anderson style of clip that will plug right into your winch. I reached out to Superwinch about a direct replacement harness and they said they don't supply that as a separate part.

  • Winch Wiring Kit for Installing Viper Recovery Winch on Trailer from Tow Vehicle Battery
While we don't carry Viper brand winches I was able to determine that they were designed to be used with 2 gauge wire. But since you are going to have a longer cable setup I'd recommend a thicker gauge to offset the increased length. So for that I would recommend the # BDW20348 for a section of 24 foot long 1 gauge wire for the vehicle side of the wiring and then for the trailer side we have the # BDW20347 which is 7-1/2 feet long and also 1 gauge.

  • 2015 Silverado 2500HD Winch Wiring Kits for Front and Rear of Truck
We can help you with the wiring kits for the winch as we carry them but we do not carry a dual battery kit setup for your truck. I found several online when searching for them just now. For a rear wiring kit that uses 1 gauge wire we have the part # BDW20348, and then for the front part # BDW20347. This heavy of gauge wire would be ideal for a 12k winch like you have as well. For a 12,500 lb capacity Bulldog Winch Alpha we have the part # BDW10028 which would be a great option. This...
