Video Transcript for Review of JR Products Propane - Hoses - 37207-30925

Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products propane hose. Like most of your propane hoses, this is designed to allow your LP gas to flow through so you can power up those propane powered appliances. But, when you're looking for a propane hose, there are a few things that you want to pay attention to to make sure that it's going to work with your setup. The first thing is going to be the length. Obviously, you want it to be able to reach from point A to point B so that you can make those connections and allow that LP gas to flow through there securely.

This is a three foot long hose. It is made of a rubber construction, which is going to cut down on your kinks and cracking, those sort of things. It's got an internal diameter of a quarter of an inch, so that's going to be plenty of room for that LP gas to flow through there. As long as your point A and point B are less than three feet apart, this hose should work for you.The next thing that you want to focus in on are your fittings. There are several different kinds of fittings available on propane hoses, so you want to see what kind of fittings you need for your setup to make sure you're getting the right hose.

Here, we have two of the same fitting. These are both three-eighths inch female swivel SAE fittings. The swivel just means that that in there is going to twist, which is going to make it easier to get this threaded on to our other end. We're not going to have to crank on the hose to get it to spin around like some of the other fittings out there. Now, this is an SAE fitting, but there are several different kinds of SAE fittings.

If you look inside there, you can kind of see how it tapers down towards the center of our hole. That is a flare fitting, so this is going to be an SAE flair a female end. That's the part that the male end will connect to, butt up against. As you tighten it down, it's going to squeeze those two pieces together to create a nice, tight seal so you're not get in any sort of gas leaks or anything. This hose is UL and CSA approved, so it's going to hold up to those quality standards. You can trust it's going to do a good job, do what you need it to do so you can get your LP gas to your appliances.

Now, if this isn't the hose that you need, maybe you need a different length or you've got different fittings, I would encourage you to come take a look at our other options here at etrailer.com. We've got several different kinds of hoses, lengths, and fittings. We want to make sure that you get the product that you need to solve your problem so you can get back to enjoying your time outdoors. That's going to complete our look at the JR Products propane hose.

This item replaced a original equipment hose. In my case I wanted a shorter hose and this item was the proper length. I was able to install it easily and have had it in use for one year without any problems.

  • Is Shut-Off Valve Required To Install Camco Olympian Wave 3 Heater CAM57331?
There is not reason you cannot add an additional shut off between your propane lines and the Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety Heater for Small RVs # CAM57331 you were looking at, but it is not required. Personally I would use propane hose as it does not require soldering compared to copper pipe. The # CAM57331 requires a 3/8" female flare so a hose like the # 37207-30925 which is 3' long and would allow you to connect to the heater to the propane line on the trailer. They are available...
