Video Transcript for Review of JR Products Propane - Hoses - 37207-31405

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products propane hose. Like most of your propane hoses, this is designed to allow your LP or propane gas to flow through so you can get it hooked up to your regulator on your RV or travel trailer or whatever use you are using for your propane so that you can power up those propane-powered appliances. Now there are a few things that you want to look for when you're searching for a propane hose. You want to make sure first that it's going to have the length that you need. Obviously you want it to be able to reach from point A to point B.

This hose is two and a half feet long, so as long as point A and point B are less than two and a half feet, you should be good. This hose does have a rubber construction, so it's going to resist any kinks or cracking, anything like that. It's got an internal diameter of 3/8", which is going to be plenty of room for that propane to flow through and power up all your appliances. The next thing that you want to look for when picking out a propane hose is the fittings. There are several different fittings available for your propane hoses, so you just want to make sure that you get the fittings that are going to work for your setup. We've got two different fittings here. This one is our 3/8 male NPT fitting.

This is probably going to hook up to your regulator. It could potentially hook up to something else, depending on what you're using the hose for.Our other fitting is our 3/8" female SAE swivel end. The swivel just means that it's going to be easier to mount. We're not going to have to turn the whole hose to get this tightened down. You can just easily thread it on like that.

If you can see inside, right about where that hole is, there's kind of a tapered flare. There are several different types of SAE settings, so this is the kind that uses that flare. That's what the male tightens down onto to create a nice tight seal so you're not getting any gas leaks or anything like that. You want to look out for that, make sure that this is going to be the fitting that you need. This hose is UL and CSA approved, so it's going to hold up to those high-quality standards.

Should do a good job for you. You're not going to have to worry about it breaking down or leaking, anything like that. Now if this isn't the hose that you need, maybe it doesn't fit your length requirements, or you've got different fittings, I'd encourage you to come take a look at our other options here at etrailer.com. We've got several different propane hoses to pick from with different fittings on them, different lengths. We want to make sure that you have the product that you need to solve your problems so you can get back to enjoying your time outdoors. No one likes to be encumbered by problems with their setup, so we want to make it easy for you, get the product you need the first time. So go ahead and take a look at our other options if this is not the one that you need. That's going to complete our look at the JR Products propane hose.

Yeah, it seems that your warranty was no longer eligible when you contacted us. I'm sorry hear that you had to go somewhere else. We have sent warranty information in another email.

These hoses are exactly what I required. 24" would be too short and 36" would be too long. Very durable build. Nice to have a variety of choices from etrailer. Thanks.

  • How to Connect 20 Pound Propane Tank to Champion 100165 Dual Fuel Generator
To connect your Champion #100165 Dual Fuel generator to a 100 pound propane tank, the manufacturer states that "The generator can be attached a larger propane tank. The generator requires ½ PSI with a flow rate of 152,000 BTU/hr. when under maximum load. The connection on the front panel is a male 3/8" SAE flare fitting using 5/8” 18 UNF threads." To accomplish this you will need three parts; a cylinder connector (green knob) a propane regulator oriented verticle or horizontal, and a...

  • What RV Propane Supply Line Is Used from Regulator to Appliances?
Regulators normally have 1/4 inch not 3/8 inch connections as does the small appliance. If you have 3/8 inch connections, the only option we have for your specific fit is to use multiple hoses.
