Exactly what I was looking for, received and installed and is perfect. Thanks

by:

The hitch was well made and relatively easy to install. I installed it on a 2016 Golf Sportwagen LE. I can confirm that as others have stated that I did NOT need to trim the bumper fascia (as the instructions said I would need to). I separated the black, lower part of the fascia from the top part before reinstalling the main fascia. I was then able to snap the lower part on after fitting it around the hitch chain loops.
A couple of other notes: the LE has the rear cross traffic alert. The sensors are bolted on each side of the bumper. I thought with the additional thickness of the sensors that the bolts might not be long enough but they fit fine.
As has been mentioned in other reviews, the torx screws in the wheel wells have very little clearance. I highly recommend getting a torx racquet set. I bought one at a hardware store for about $20 (Kobalt 24-Piece Standard (SAE) and Metric Mechanic's Tool Set with Hard Case). This makes the removal of those screws straight-forward.

by:

It fit great with my Draw-Tite receiver hitch.

by:

Good piece of steel

Product was as described, but, more importantly, there was a very small issue and it was promptly handled very professionally.
etrailer is very refreshing in an old style sort of way and only old guys can truly appreciate them. They do business as if I was the only customer they have! Very prompt, professional, and first class in all things!

by:

Joints are soldiered and have to wonder when under load, that is within specs if the pressure of pulling a small trailer( 3x5) loaded with about 500 lbs. over todays poorly maintained roads will hold up under the stress? There is a bit of a wobble when that mount is inserted into the sleeve of the hitch and I am a bit concerned that the loose fitting may also impacted on this mount to function properly!

by:

Service was outstanding, everything fit exact, and delivery on time. Most outstanding were the videos on how to install, spot on. Hitch took thirty minutes, wire harness forty-five This was on a Prius V. This will be used to pull a small boat , boat and trailer 600lb. Thanks for your outstanding help.

by:

The trailer hitch for my 2001 CRV was a perfect fit.
In my case, the product arrived the next day.
In my dealings with etrailer, I found them to be courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful.

by:

Heavy duty should work great towing my small utility trailer. Installs on my receiver hitch in seconds.

by:

The Draw bar and Ball arrived today with no problems. The sales rep, John, was very helpful when I called to order these products. I am very happy with the hitch that I ordered previously and the Draw Bar and Ball that I ordered this time. Thanks

by:

Everything was as described and the team at etrailer did a fantastic job of keeping me up to date on my order. I recieved updates while the product was in route and a follow up email to confirm everything was OK. Job well done!

by:

Well-built, but it's not obvious which end is up! My mechanic installed the hitch ball on the wrong side.

by:

I am Extremily Happy with the Trailor Sport Hitch Package that I recived in 5 days in very good condition from ETRAILER CORPORATION, Thank You. I will be back

by:

Quality product; very sturdy. Included pin has a groove on one end rather than a hole to hold the cotter pin. Seems secure but I haven't really tested it on a long trip.

by:

The product was as described and shipped quickly. It is of high quality and strength and fits perfectly for our utility trailer.

by:

Product was as indicated. Fit was good. Everything went well with installation.

by:

Looks like it will work. Seems solid and well built. Ball was installed easily enough and the holes seems to line correctly.

Great! Ive used it a bunch of times and it is always a perfect solution. I would purchase it again in a minute.

by:

It's a heavy welder metal bar with holes in the right places. :) Had a paint ding on mine, but I can't imagine that could stop this from working fine for decades.

by:

worked great, no problems

by:

Good solid product. Performs as expected. I would recommend to others.

by:

Was a match for the hitch I purchased and worked great

by:

VERY PLEASED WITH THE ITEM I PURCHASED. EXACTLY AS IT WAS INTENDED AND EVERYTHING FITS GREAT,
THOMAS F.

  • Is Stabilizer Strap Really Required when Using Trailer Hitch on 2014 Volkswagen Passat
The stabilizer strap like part # 18050 is required by Curt on their lighter duty trailer hitches like the # C11234 you referenced when carrying a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached a video that shows exactly how it is used typically. Since I personally wouldn't want to mess with using the strap I would recommend you go with the Draw Tite hitch part # 24880 instead as it does not have this requirement. These hitches are pretty simple to install. A DIYer like yourself would...

  • 2015 Chevy Sonic Hatchback Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation
For your 2015 Chevy Sonic the Draw Tite Hitch part # 24878 has been confirmed as a fit and will work well for light towing as long as you stay under the hitch's towing capacity of 200 lbs tongue weight and 2,000 lbs total trailer weight and the towing capacities for the vehicle listed in the owners manual. I attached an install video for you to check out as well. For trailer wiring you would then want the part # 118640, for a ball mount # 3590, 1-7/8 inch ball # 19256, and 2 inch ball # 19258.

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2013 Chevy Sonic RS to Tow a Motorcycle
In order to transport a motorcycle using your 2013 Chevy Sonic RS it will have to be towed on a trailer. The problem is that the bike is too heavy to carry it on a hitch mounted carrier. They do make small trailers designed for motorcycles so you won't need a huge trailer. For a trailer hitch I recommend Draw-Tite model # 24878. The recommended ball mount is # 3590. For a 1-7/8 inch ball I recommend # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball I recommend # 19258. For trailer wiring I recommend # 118640...

If you plan on doing some towing the correct ball mount is # 3590 and the correct pin and clip is # PC2. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # 118640. I have linked instructions for the wiring as well.

  • Can a Trailer Hitch be Installed on a 2015 Chevy Sonic Hatchback with Upgraded Exhaust
Trailer hitches are designed for and tested on stock vehicles so there isn't an easy way to determine if any of them would be compatible with the aftermarket exhaust. However, if the exhaust is professionally installed they would be able to work around any clearance issues with the hitch so I would have the hitch installed first. If you plan on doing any towing I recommend Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24878. The recommended ball mount is # 3590. Then for a 1-7/8 inch ball I recommend # 19256...
