  I went out to the warehouse and pulled safety chain quick link # 49135 to measure for you. With the nut fully opened the opening is just over 5/8 an inch (0.625 inches). If you can fit the opening over your current safety chains, they should work well as these have a 16.5k capacity each. A better solution would be to replace your current safety chains with something like the part # 49150 as this is a 44-inch safety chain kit with a 16k capacity. Or for a 35-inch chain part # 1483-535-04.
