Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness. If extra length is needed, you can cut the zip tie on the passenger side harness.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

The wring harness was very easy to install. It is working just fine after one year. I was careful upon installation to make sure no wires would hang down creating an opportunity to get snagged. We hunt with our vehicles so often time we will be in a harvested field driving.
Perfect product and transaction all around!! Other reviews said wiring was a bit short but cutting a zip tie would help wire length. Worked perfectly. Install was a breeze and went just as smooth as the video provided for my Jeep. Also bought the trailer hitch as well. Installing both took less than 30 mins. If, like me, you were worried about quality because the price is so low. Worry not!!! The quality is there. The inflated price is not. Welds on hitch are good and powder coating is flawless. Wiring is plug and play. (pun intended) If your thinking about buying. STOP. Just buy it and you will be as pleased as I was. ~2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee~
Very dissatisfied with the wiring harness. Way too short. A number of your reviews indicated that this. We had to splice a number of wires. Your solution was to cut the small zip ties on the wires. We did that. Still too short. Probably will not use this product again.`
I ordered this harness for my Grand Cherokee and couldn't be happier. It came within a few days choosing economy shipping and the installation was ridiculously easy. There is even an online video with step by step instructions for this exact product. I completed the install myself in under 30 minutes. Did a brake/signal check and everything worked perfectly. Great product, great service. Very happy with this purchase.

Great service, products works great. Had to remove 1 zip tie to gain the length needed to get to both tail lights. Follow the path of the vehicle wiring and the wiring tucks nicely.
It was super easy to install this trailer light setup on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Works perfectly and have had no issues with it.
Everything fit as it should. The connectors could be a bit more sturdier. Very delicate plastic.
Wiring harness was so easy to install, it took me less then 30 minutes to get it installed! Way cheaper then uhaul charges! Very happy.
unit did not fit had to add wire so it would reach from tail light to the other. And this was the second harness I ordered the first one was totally wrong

There has been no issues with the product...still working exactly as it did on the first day.
Easy to install and works great on my j eep
The delivery was fast, took it less than a week to come in. This product was so easy to install. It took me an hour to put the hitch and wiring harness in my 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I haven't got to pull anything with it yet but as of right now I think it's a good product.
Have Jeep Grand Cherokee and have added an etrailer hitch. This wiring harness will complete the project allowing use of utility trailer. Like the fact that no wiring has to be cut or tapped to install. Perfect for my use.

Still works exactly as expected. Usage down during Covid-19 situation.
Good product with quality connections. My only negative comment is that the wiring could be about 2"-4" longer for my application (2007 Grand Cherokee). The wires were just too short in overall length and made the installation longer than it needed to be. I did get it in, but almost had to remove the rear bumper to make everything fit perfectly. All in the harness works great - install was just a pain as things were tight.

Easy to install, works great. Suggestion: watch the video rather than use the included instructions, if possible. The instructions are fine, but the video shows where to route the wires through the bumper. After reading the suggestions in the reviews, I snipped one of the wire ties holding the two cable sets together to make sure I had enough cable length to stretch over to the passenger side. Make sure you have a couple of coat hangers or heavy wire to fish the wires through your bumper pipe. Even though person in the video was able to install the ground screw without drilling a pilot hole, I was not able to, so I needed to drill a pilot hole to get it started.

The harness works great. I upgraded it to a round 7-wire harness with electric brakes. No need to discard this kit, it simply powers the lights while a new wire powers the brakes on the new 7-wire connector.
The product is very easy to install. For those with comments about the wires being too short to get to the passenger side, all you have to do is cut a zip tie on the harness and there is more than enough wire supplied. Installation took about 30 minutes and the video on the website is excellent. The shipping and notification procedures with e-trailer are great. It's a pleasure doing business with them.

Found your website and thought it was awesome. Boy was i wrong. I ordered a wiring harness for my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Watched the video and it seems very simple and well thought out. Paid 25 dollars extra for overnight shipping so i could leave town for the weekend. Evidently Tekonsha ( supplier) doesnt know how to measure because the harness is too short. Customer service is a joke. She says someone may call me tomorrow. What good does that do. Im stuck and cant do the work i promised. Thanks etrailer. You suck.

Richard, if you snip one of the zip ties where the yellow and green wires meet, you can make the wiring just about as long as you need.
The product quality is excellent, BUT the 2011 model year JEEP GC has changed. The wiring harness is to short! I had to add additonal wiring by cutting and splicing additional length.
This product needs to be upgraded to fit 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

To get enough length, all you need to do is cut the zip-tie that holds the two halves together. Peel the bonded wire apart till you get enough length, then you can tie them back with a new zip-tie.
This was really easy to install, especially if you watch the video before installing. I chose to follow wiring that was already going across above the spare tire and tie wrapped to it. It tucks neatly away and I had plenty of wire. I do recommend cutting one of the existing ties to allow more cable.

Product has been great no issues to date!
Installation of this harness was very easy after I watched the harness install video. Together with this harness, I also ordered from etrailer, a 10 foot long plastic wire loom (PN 39035) which I used to cover the wires before installation. I thought this would insure protection of the harness wiring as it is routed under the bumper. This harness would have been perfect if it came with the plastic wire loom already installed. It only took me a few more minutes to install the loom so no big deal. The harness was of perfect length and all the connectors just snapped easily.

It can seem like that there is not enough wire in the harness. To get enough length, all you need to do is cut the zip-tie that holds the two halves together. Peel the bonded wire apart till you get enough length, then you can tie them back with a new zip-tie.
