Fit of Carpod Cargo Carrier # M2200 on 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
What Reciever will work with this product on my 2012 Jeep Cherokee Laredo?

Although the Carpod Cargo Carrier is a great product, its shorter than usual shank (4 inches) would prevent it from being used in any of the receivers offered for your 2012 Grand Cherokee.
When we have installed the Draw-Tite and Curt hitches on a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we have found that the distance from the receiver hitch pin hole to the furthest rearward portion of the bumper is typically 4-1/4 inches. The short shank of the Carpod would not be able to slide into the receiver far enough for the hitch pin to be inserted.
I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class III receiver, part # 75699. You could use that receiver with any of the other cargo carriers we offer. You can click on the provided link to see what is available.
If you were planning on using the hitch for towing purposes, you might also need the following:
Trailer wiring harness, part # 118425, or part # 118384 if your Grand Cherokee is equipped with the Tow Package
Ball mount, part # D-4
1-7/8 inch trailer ball, part # 19260
2 inch trailer ball, part # 19247
2-5/16 inch trailer ball, part # 63847
Hitch pin and clip, part # PC3
Locking hitch pin, part # e98882
I will also link you to the installation instructions for the hitch and wiring harnesses, as well as some installation videos that you might find helpful.
