  • 1-Year limited warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed within your trunk.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Power Module

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Haven't tested if the harness works yet but there was more to it than advertised and their install video doesn't show the full install. I had to do some soldering but I got it all hooked up and my tail lights work good with it in there should be no problem with the trailer

by:

It was very easy to order my wiring harness. It came a day earlier than expected. Very great place to purchase from.

2010 Ford Fusion

The wiring kit is solid! Super easy to install, especially with the awesome online video tutorial. The only thing I did different was that I ran the wire from the trunk through the inside of my Ford Fusion to the firewall where I went through an easy plastic port. I just couldn't see me running a wire underneath the car. I used this in conjunction with the Hidden Hitch trailer hitch and now i'm set up to haul my quad. Awesome price, fast shipping, great follow up. I'd recommend etrailer to anyone!!

The products are great. No complaints what so ever. I figured it was best to get 200 dollars worth of towing equipment for my quad and trailer than to spend 45k for a brand new truck! Thanks for the follow up.

by:
2012 Ford Fusion

I received all the parts promptly. Packaging was very sturdy and no shortages. I installed the hitch in 20 minutes! The wiring took a bit longer just because I had to work under the car, no lift in my driveway.
The install worked exactly as your video showed. Thank you to etrailer for the prompted service and very detailed video instructions. I will be back to etrailer for certain!

The hitch has been in use for a year now and still no issues. I periodically check the wiring visually and with a meter. All works fine. Bolts are still tight.

Hitch and wiring harness was shipped out the same day I ordered it arrived in 2 days both the hitch and harness were easy to install and work great. Thanks etrailer

2010 Ford Fusion

This kit works excellent, used it with 18140 short bracket and 18144 four-pole mounting bracket. All in all, a professional looking install. Very happy

this kit makes for a professional wiring install. Was able to run power wire completely through interior of vehicle, there is a plastic plug located in the firewall, above the gas pedal, which allowed access to the engine compartment for power hookup. Very nice.

by:

Every piece fit perfectly, easy install, the most difficult task was getting the muffler hangers off. Two sets of hands and a car hoist would have sped it up considerably but all in all not hard at all. The wiring harness was a snap. Again everything fit perfectly and was of good quality. I installed the hitch, did the wiring for the trailer, and assembled a Harbor Freight trailer in two days!!! Thanks for great products. Now I won't have to buy a pickup!

by:
2008 Ford Fusion

Ordered the trailer wiring kit for a Ford Fusion. The T-one harness. As usual, fast delivery of product and it arrived with all the accessories as described. Good quality wiring and a nearly effortless installation. Worked first time I turned the lights on. Cudos again goes to etrailer for a great product at a great price and George J's immediate email to follow up on one of his products. Great customer service and it just goes to show that they care about their customers and want to see them succeed.

Etrailer.com has gone above and beyond again with a great competitive price and Shipping my order very very promptly. Amazing company.
Oh yeah, I got just what the doctor ordered for my car so now off to the lake with my jet ski.

Holding up very well, just went camping at Limerick Rock without a Hitch! Pun intended!

2006 Ford Fusion

Easiest trailer wiring installation I've ever done. Installation video was right on and very helpful. Wire length was excellent. Everything fit like it should and quality of the kit is superb. Works like a champ! Delighted with the results.

by:
2010 Honda Pilot

I ordered this harness when ordering a trailer hitch. As with the, shipping was fast. And like the hitch, I spent some time watching the installation video to prepare. This product installed pretty easily though I had to modify a couple of items from the video.

First thing I modified was running the black wire to the battery. The location of the access hole used in the video did not exist on my 2010 Fusion. Instead, I ran the wire along a wiring harness into the rear passenger compartment and out an access hole under the rear seat on the driver side. Then followed the brake lines into the engine compartment.
Second, after drilling the pilot hole for the included self tapping screw and screwing the ground to the body, the screw would not tighten down. Instead I found a slightly larger metal screw that worked just fine.
Overall, I would recommend this harness for it's relative ease of installation and quality.

by:
2012 Ford Fusion

The first trailer wiring I have installed that required a direct connection to battery. This was hardest part of the install, especially without a hoist. Also, had to watch the video for 2011 Fusion as the 2012 Fusion install video was not workable as far as an access to outside of car.

by:
2012 Ford Fusion

This was the best response and service I have ever received on an on-line purchase. Order arrived faster than expected, everything was perfect. It only took me about 30 minutes to install the hitch, and another 30 for the wiring. I thought to myself while doing this, I should get in the trailer hitch business! This was easy. Thank you.

by:

I installed 2 of these years ago. I was a lot younger 88 now. I did do the wiring harness not so much weight there. I decided to let someone else do the hitch for me.
The instructions & videos are great !
There is my oil change man, I'll ask him. I owe him, he rotated my tires for free.

You fellows keep doing the excellent work you are doing now, wish I could say more. I would recommend you & your product to everyone.

2010 Ford Fusion

This is my third trailer hitch installation from etrailer, and I have to say that they have performed admirably in all three cases. The items ordered arrived in a timely fashion, and all orders were correct. The install how-to videos are a very nice service provided by etrailer. Overall I would highly recommend etrailer.

by:

Shipping was fast, everything fit excellent, very well thought out. I’m extremely happy with this purchase ( trailer hitch and wiring harness) would definitely buy from etrailer. com again.

2007 Ford Fusion

Ordered both a hitch and wiring harness, to haul my kayak trailer. Perfect fit, and fairly easy to install the hitch. Even simpler to install the wiring. Love this site. I'll be back for any other items I may need. Thanks!!

by:

shortly after ordering my wire harness I developed health issues and it is still in the box laying on the new hitch in the garage I will update if and when I get them installed

by:
2012 Ford Fusion

Ordered the hitch and wire harness and it was delivered in 3 business days. The order was complete and everything went together just like in the video. Will think of etrailer.com again and recommended it to my son.

by:
2007 Ford Fusion

This is my second order from etrailer. LOVE this website!!! So easy to find what you want, and order. Very prompt delivery!
I look forward to installing my wiring harness, so I can haul my kayak trailer. Thanks for making it a breeze!

by:
2011 Ford Fusion

Great hitch!! Installed in no time. The wiring always takes longer, esp having to run a power wire on this model to the battery.

by:
2012 Ford Fusion

I have not mounted the trailer hitch to my car as of yet, but I have read the instructions, viewed the video on how to install everything. I believe it will take me about an hour to install everything.

by:
2009 Ford Fusion

Simple wiring and very straight forward installation video makes for an easy installation. Fits and programs perfectly for a 2009 Ford Fusion SEL with the 3.0

Only complaint is that I think there are to few zip ties as I needed to use my own.

by:
2012 Ford Fusion

Everything was perfect. you can hook it up to your lights in a few minutes. Watch the video provided on the website. The tougheset part was getting the power wire to the battery. I had no exit hole in the trunk so i punched one through and siliconed the hole.

by:
2011 Ford Fusion

The video was key to the install, easy as pie !

  • Installation of T-One Wiring Harness Splicing Into Aux 12V Connector at Center Console
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118422 is recommended to be installed to draw power directly from the battery. Splicing into your 12V Aux will work as long as you have the fuse rating properly accounted for as you referenced and as long as you isolate the 12V Aux so when you use it to charge your phone, etc, doesn't steal power from the trailer connector. We don't recommend installing in this way. You need the 12V power to be correct so you don't...

  • Necessity of Routing Power Wire for T-One Wiring Harness # 118422 When Installed on 2010 Ford Fusion
Although the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness you mention obtains its signals from plugging inline with the existing tail light wiring harnesses, the voltage to power the trailer lights needs to be drawn directly from the battery. The reason for this is twofold. First, the vehicle manufacturer has determined that any voltage drawn through the vehicle wiring over and above that needed to operate the vehicle tail light assemblies could overload the vehicle wiring system and damage it. Secondly,...

  • Routing the Power Wire for a Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2014 Ford Fusion
You seem to have found the silver lining in that your 2014 Ford Fusion is well built! Look for a factory harness that goes from the cab of the vehicle through the firewall. You may have to look in some tight places. If you cannot locate a harness, or it is not within easy reach or the wire just will not fit, you will have to drill a little hole and route the wire through it. Of course you will need to be careful where you drill so as not to damage anything on the opposite side of the...

For trailer wiring for your 2010 Ford Fusion the T-One kit part # 118422 would be the best option. This brand of trailer wiring is the most reliable that we offer so we recommend it highly. It would work great with the Draw Tite hitch part # 24865 which is also a fit for your 2010 Ford Fusion. I tried looking up the capacity for it online and most places say it wasn't listed or it's not rated for any towing.
