Routing the Power Wire for a Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2014 Ford Fusion
Question:
I purchased the wiring harness for the 2014 Ford Fusion and installed everything at the rear of the car. I have routed the power wire to the front of the car behind the firewall. I see absolutely no way to feed the wire through the firewall. this is the most well build car I have ever worked on...including my Mercedes and Porsche. Please help!

You seem to have found the silver lining in that your 2014 Ford Fusion is well built! Look for a factory harness that goes from the cab of the vehicle through the firewall. You may have to look in some tight places.
If you cannot locate a harness, or it is not within easy reach or the wire just will not fit, you will have to drill a little hole and route the wire through it. Of course you will need to be careful where you drill so as not to damage anything on the opposite side of the firewall.
This is a common issue any time wiring is ran on the interior of the vehicle. It takes a little more work to do it this way but the wiring is better protected. I have linked a help article that you might find useful.
